Not at all what I thought it would be now it isn't bad in its own right but just not what I thought it would be. If I could I would give it middle ground review.2 found this helpful
10 minutes in and I was already done with it. There's challenging but doable, and then there's difficult and gruelling just for the shake of it. I like a challenge, but you need to make it accessible for people to be able to overcome and learn from; this wasn't that. This felt like it was set up so, even on the easiest mode, you still have a 10% chance of succeeding combat situations. Rest of the reviews on here basically sum up the rest of my thoughts, so read those if you want more of an idea of why this game just doesn't cut it. A small but subtle thing that I think is absolutely genius about this game is what they did with the reload mechanic. In a typical Rail shooter, reloading is so trivial that you do it basically whenever you have a down second, it never feels like I have to be careful with my bullets. The devs of this game decided to tie a small timing game to the reloading mechanic, whenever you press the reload button, your gun will reload no matter what, even if you miss the timing or don't hit the button at all, but if you succeed at the mini game, the reload animation is MUCH faster, saving crucial second that could leave you vulnerable if you miss, not to mention the fact that you actually have to take your eyes of the action for a second in order to succeed at the mini game. It's fast, frenetic, and you HAVE to make your bullets count. I haven't even beaten the first shooting section yet, but I already know that I'm addicted to this game, can't recommend it enough!
