I recommend this and the other two stalker games as excellent examples of the eastern European aesthetic that captures the ambience of a post apocalyptic world so well. I played all three many hundreds of hours a half a dozen times. However, I see no difference between the originals and the "enhanced" versions. None at all. If you are encountering these games for the first time, then get the enhanced versions. Otherwise, stick with the originals.
One of the best games ever made. Even after so many years I still enjoyed playing it, good story, beautiful environment (in its own way), A-Life should be today's standard for open world or semi-open world games by now but well... However game is extremely buggy, even after all this time some quests are bugged.

I love this game. I cannot really put my finger on exactly why, but I can play it for hours without getting bored. Let us just face the fact, sometimes just escaping into another reality is reason enough.
