On April 26, 1986, the largest nuclear disaster in human history occurred. As a result of the explosion and destruction of reactor number 4 of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, a massive amount of radioactive isotopes were released into the atmosphere. Squads of liquidators were sent out to combat this invisible and deadly enemy. They were not heroes, yet they were called upon to perform heroic deeds. Many of them paid with their own health, and even their lives...
Step into the shoes of a nameless hero confronting treacherous radiation. Take action as one of the firefighters who extinguished fires on the ruins of reactor No. 4 on that fateful night. Traverse the abandoned city of Pripyat as a dosimetrist, fighting against radioactive dust and clouds. In a radiation suit, explore the tunnels under the reactor, in search of truth. Grab a shovel and clear the radioactive graphite from the roof of Unit 3's turbine hall! Witness hell with your own eyes…

At its current state, I do not recommend this game. The game certainly has lots of potential, but the amount of game-breaking bugs is overwhelming. Within the first five minutes of gameplay, I encountered two game-breaking softlocks without even trying. I simply played the game normally, using its intended mechanics. **Examples:** In one of the first quests, you are supposed to pick up graphite blocks with a shovel and throw them onto a designated drop-off spot. However, you can also throw them anywhere else, including out of bounds. That's what I did because it wasn't clear where the drop-off spot was. I thought throwing them onto a pile of rubble was the objective. It turned out it wasn't. Since I could no longer reach the blocks, I had to start a new game. **Next example:** After the first few quests, you get what appears to be a loading screen. That screen has a skip function. I used it, but as soon as I skipped the screen, I was unable to move my character or access my inventory, resulting in another softlock and forcing me to start a new game again.4 found this helpful
Обожаю Чернобыль и был вдохновлен как раз, НО: Игра одноразовая, часа на 4 где-то максимум. Геймплей скучный и громоздкий, даже на волкинг сим не потянет. Критикал баги встречал, к счастью обходил их. 40-50 фпс на моей сборке. Русского нету, а в сюжете повсюду клюква. Например злое КГБ загоняет не смотря на потери ликвидаторов которые в свою очередь ну очень не хотят спасать страну и мир) Произведение художественное и я не надеюсь на 1 в 1 реализм но оно капец пытается в неловкую киношность. Костюмы персов не имеют логики и просто выглядят плохо. Просто стало жалко пяти долларов. Замечательнейший концепт (геймплей так себе), а реализация техническая и художественная дрянь. Больше бы симуляторов про ликвидаторов аварии но чтоб... ну... нормальные и играбельные были хз1 found this helpful
Very buggy, feet clips through handheld objects when looking down, I'm on max graphics settings and in some later levels it looks to have no shadows whatsoever. First section is very good though, however not worth the price for the short good section of the game.
eeesh alot to unpack here in the ferris wheel level it kept making me spawn in and fall through the map
