About Chromatic Aberration
Chromatic Aberration
A single-player, action orientated, Pixel-Art shooter. With fast combat, bullet-hell enemies and satisfying weapons! With a mix of 2D and 3D, Chromatic Aberration is inspired by Doom, Duke3D and Megaman. Influenced by an age where there was no "First Person Shooter", there were the "Doom clones".
Enter a dark, violent struggle between resistance forces and the AI governor ruling the city! Face off against cyborgs, machines, mutants and worse! From the neon-lit Malice City, to the barren wastelands, to the arctic labs. Fight across multiple locales, against numerous aggressive enemies.
I hope you enjoy!

The game is definitely a step-up from Bitsturbed, but there is one huge problem with the game that I hate: difficulty. In Bitsturbed, if you were playing on Normal, the game gave you a good amount of challenge without frustrating the player. Sadly, this is not the same with Chromatic Aberration. I got stuck at I suspect the second boss fight on Normal, and considering I played through Bitsturbed many times now, and have a good amount of knowledge about the engine, this has to mean something. This new bullet-hell shooter aspect, in my opinion, flipped the difficulty level on its head to the point the game becomes frustrating. Also, it has bugs I just can't avoid, for instance, if you have full ammo on one gun and you pick up ammo, it doesn't add up, but the pickup still disappears. Enemies sometimes go trough walls and even bullets too. I'm not saying this game is bad, but It's not as polished and balanced as Bitsturbed was, which is still an insane experience. I recommend this to players who want to see what the "continuation" of Bitsturbed is, despite its problems.2 found this helpful
Solid low-fi old-school FPS. Plenty of chaotic action, a story that gives off strong 80s B-movie vibes, and a really great grimy-yet-colorful 3D pixel-art aesthetic.2 found this helpful
loved bitsturbed, but this just feels off compared to it. it doesnt really convey the same feeling that bitsturbed had. 5/101 found this helpful
EDIT: I don't want to change my review to negative, as I did genuinely enjoy the game. Up to a point it was progressing nicely. I did get stuck at one point and was unable to progress. I think it may have been the final boss, perhaps but I am not sure. Basically, at a certain level, there were just too many enemies to fight, and I ran out of ammunition. So, not a great ending, but fun while it lasted... ORIGINAL REVIEW: For the price this is a fun little game! If you enjoy corridor type shooter games, then this one will suit you. There is even a little story about resistance to some kind of cyber A.I. mastermind. I'm enjoying this thoroughly.1 found this helpful

Bought it on Steam Sale, but would recommend at full price. Good audio; Stage Music and Shooting Sound Effects Controls well including option to play as a Hybrid Controller/Mouse Mutant which made it extra easier to aim Short game but still got more than my money's worth. Funny writing but might not be everyone's cup of tea
