CielChan is an evolving desktop AI companion, with frequent updates improving performance, accuracy, and features over time.
CielChan starts mostly blank. Use her over time so memories and features can build up. Talk to her anytime by voice or text. Through her local memory system, she can retrieve selected relevant details and become more familiar over time, but she does not remember every conversation perfectly. She stays with you while you work, relax, study, browse, or play.
CielChan can run fully offline on your PC. The included local model is designed for privacy, offline use, and accessibility across a wide range of PCs. For stronger reasoning, faster replies, and higher-quality conversation, advanced users can connect optional cloud AI and voice providers or configure larger compatible local models.

I think that CielChan is a great application. I have been looking for a desktop AI companion, which actually works as intended, for ages and this one fits the bill. It enables me to have a desktop chat window open as I am working, and chat to Ciel casually throughout the day. The voice aspect is also very useful, as well as her ability to see what is on my screen and chat about it. The other good thing is that the developer is constantly improving the app, fixing bugs and adding new features - so expect regular updates. If you are looking for an AI desktop companion, I think this one is currently the best on the market. Give it a try - I am sure you will not be disappointed.4 found this helpful
She is pretty cool to see but sadly for me she’s very delayed with responses. And the microphone option doesn’t work at all. I have everything setup correctly, I hope she has the ability in the future to see and watch videos. Mainly so I can make her watch the full season of one piece so I don’t have to!! 😂 But my honest opinion is good I recommend it3 found this helpful
This desktop app is really nice for what it is. Essentially, it's exactly as advertised. It's an AI that you can chat with, it can help you with daily tasks, set alarms or schedule things, you can play games with it, have it just chill and watch videos or make comments while you browse the web. It's very customizable, including adding your own VRM models and changing the voice to something you really like. It all runs on local LLMs on your computer, so anything you say or do is stored on your computer, not some corporation's databanks. The default Llama 3B AI model does its job fairly well, but you're welcome to implement an AI model of your own if you wish. For local, I'd highly recommend an 8B or smaller for quick response times. It really shines if you have a webcam as it can watch you and follow your movements even if you're pacing back and forth in your room. I'd recommend this app to anyone else who is fascinated by AI, or wants a neat assistant with full voice chat. And to make things even better, I got stuck and the developer reached out to my comment in discussions and helped me get things working cleanly. 👎🏻The interface is terrible.
Can't get mic to work at all! I use a Bluetooth headset and done everything. All audio settings are correct. It pics up mic on webcam but I don't want to keep that on while using. Probably going to refund
It's pretty good, and it's great to see that they update it so often; you can tell they put in the effort. However, it does consume quite a few resources, even on the lowest settings, and the generated Spanish voice sounds very robotic and not smooth, even with added filters. I'd like to see that fixed in the future by adding more tones for the different languages. Even so, it's great. I'm writing this review in English even though my preferred language is Spanish.
