SIZE MATTERS: This kept a young child entertained, but keep in mind the game doesn't "scale" with the user so the kid was looking up a lot of the time (which is awkward with some of the close to people scenes). Regarding the user size, it was hard to even decorate the dress since this child (about 8 years old) wasn't tall enough to easily reach everything. Even catching the torn up letter was hard because this kid had to look straight up at those pieces of paper flying over them and couldn't reach them until they every so often dropped to a reachable level. DIFFICULTY: By the time the child got to the music, it was too far apart or difficult to reach to be able to play the music mini game. At the beginning of the game, it claimed there was a way to get past a difficult part, but in that mini game (which loops upon failure) literally no button seemed to help. It was a loop of suffering and frustration! AUDIO: Oh dear...apparently no one decided to normalize the volume. You will have to turn up the sound to hear the dialogue, but them brace yourself while the narrator then screams in your ear. Follow that up with some quiet dialogue, and then a normal dialogue.…
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
This is a a VR rendition of the classic Cinderella story. The story here follows along the classic narrative with cardboard cutouts for the characters and nice background environments for the settings. The dialogues are fully voiced. There are some interactive portions to the story. You will be picking flowers, putting in the right/wrong ingredients for the cooking recipe, picking up the pieces of the torn invitation and then putting it back together, dressing up Cinderella, guiding her carriage, following along to the beat of the music, and balancing her glass slippers. The whole thing takes about 30-40 minutes. Unfortunately, there are no save points so if you have to quit before then you'll have to start at the very beginning (after you beat the game though you can do scene selections). The good news is that you can skip the interactive portions if they are too difficult or if you've already done them. There is a height calibration so you don't need to worry about reach for children. You do need a roomscale setup as some activities require reaching beyond standing reach. This is obviously targeted towards kids…

A pretty unique VR style game, don't think I've seen the paper-mario look before in VR but it works really well Between the story there's mini games which again, haven't really seen around in many other VR games Good to show off next time younger fam wants to see what VR is like...
