About City of Cats
City of Cats is a fun, cozy sandbox game where you live the ultimate feline life. Explore streets, alleyways, houses, and parks as a mischievous cat, meowing, swatting, and causing chaos wherever and however you decide to do so. Hang out with your friends, chase mice, knock over objects, or lounge in the sun. No rules, just a world of purrfect possibilities. How will you spend your nine lives?During your time in City of Cats you'll come up against harsh weather that will make you want to seek cover. Snow storms are rare but can happen, changing the rules of survival as you play. However, if you get into a nice warm house then you'll be safe from the perilous conditions. As you live your life you'll get the call of the wild to become the cat you yearn to be. At times you may just get an urge to go sit under a bush or bring a leaf home. On the other hand you might just want to be a plastic eating goblin. As you follow more and more instincts you'll get perks of being a seasoned feline.Living the life of a stray, a nomad cat, a ronin, or whatever you want to call them, poses some challenges on a daily basis but hey you're a upcoming legend of the streets strutting what you have to offer. Being a pet can be much easier at times but does come with some drawbacks of it's own.. Catch a mouse and present your newly acquired gift to find out more.Cats are social animals; having cliques of their own. Having a friend to depend on is nice especially when you're too hungry to move or need a buddy to purr next to you and get you back to full health. Bringing food to your friend is always a nice surprise for them.
If you can make friends then you can definitely make enemies. Did they take your mouse that you worked hard to catch during the storm or did they just look at your wrong? regardless of the answer you should go give them a piece of your mind! Using all the shouts, hisses, and swats that you can muster you should tell them exactly what you think of them.Everyone that has ever been adopted by a cat can tell you that, even though they're incredible little friends, they can be tiny terrors if they think it's an appropriate time for it. City of Cats is no different, if you want to run up and make a mess on the rug well.. you can.. or you could sit and just take in the scenery. Until you need to sharpen your claws on the sofa of course...

City of Cats is an absolute blast if you're looking for a chill, feel-good game. You get to play as a cat, run around with your friends, interact with the world, and just hang out — and honestly, that's exactly what I wanted from it. It’s super relaxing, but it still feels lively thanks to all the small details packed into the environment. The vibe of the game is really cozy and fun, and whether you're just exploring or goofing around with your friends, it’s easy to lose track of time. Also... that main song? Total earworm. It's constantly stuck in my head — in a good way! 😂 If you’re looking for something low-stress, social, and fun where you can live your best cat life, City of Cats is definitely worth checking out. 🐾7 found this helpful
I'm so looking forward to see how this progresses as it goes through early access! Looking at the road map i'm really excited for the next update I had so much fun just being a cat, its relaxing and i love that i can pick up a leaf just like my own cat! (She's not too good at catching mice, so i get leaves instead.) Had a few friends playing together on a server , it is fun running around as a group! The amount of times while I've been playing i have had to move my cat as she was watching the cats on the screen and trying to paw them.5 found this helpful
I got this game on a whim. i like cats. i wanted to play a casual MMO where i didn't have to talk to people about anything too deep but i could still interact with them. and this game has all that. the concept is great if you want to be a cat in a game. im not going to lie about the game play and engine itself. there is a lot of room for improvement but its still early access so there is a lot of time to make it great. the controls are a bit rough and sometimes feel imprecise but that can be fixed, your health goes down too often due to storms and weather events happening too often but you can self heal repeatedly to bring it back up. i feel like, in my opinion the developer could increase the time between weather events to give some breathing room to explore and socialise, and instead of it being random rain or winter there could be actual seasons that we can follow along and even prepare for. so far the missions to progress the instincts have not been working properly. collecting leaves does not work nor does laying under a bush, so if you get those missions for instinct you become stuck at that point. i havent listed all the issues, but just the ones i want the developer to see …4 found this helpful
this needs a lot more time in the oven, and i mean A LOT more time lol jumping doesnt work, the world feels pretty empty, the controls are janky/clunky. i like to give EA games a fair chance but i got bored within the first 10 minutes, probably will revisit after some time, good luck to the developer though4 found this helpful

No one plays this and the devs are pushing other games they are making. There are no discussions, no updates. Lots of stuff doesnt work. Too bad cause it needs very little work to fix. Guess I got ripped off.
