They are essentially hoping customers don't read the fine print. It is a joke that they leave the old games steam page up even though there is a "new" 2026 version... which in reality is just a simple update for this game. If you buy this you won't get any updates and they just hope to grab some cash of new customers by offering two editions against their original promises. I thought I would buy the game to get the new 2026 edition (if you buy it now you wont btw), but the graphics are not great and the city felt kind of boring unfortunately. Also they don't have modding support which means you have to buy expensive DLCs for new content, or if you really decide to buy this edition despite my warning you will infact get no new content at all.

Is the game fun? Yes, but - it is a DLC hellscape - the traffic lights are buggy - pedestrians and cars could do with better pathfinding - the 3D hair of player character crashes the game For a game not marked as early access, it is missing some basic features like ticket selling and the roadmap seems to be quite long. I might eventually change this review after future updates.

this game has to be the WORSE city driving game EVER ! ! ! !..... the menu cant even get the options correct you point the curser over an option and then you to choose 2 options at once and still wont select the correct option i was trying to select. Now i tried to drive a bus, and trust me this has the worse game physics than any other bus/tram game i have ever played. the steering turns left or right very fast, its so fast you can only ever over steer and crash into absolutly anything, you see a stump in the road you hit it, then you get stuck and have to reset the bus via the pause menu but still you can choose 2 options at the same time. I don't think i have to say much more this game has more bugs than an ant hill and should be avoided like covid 19 i have played a little longer than i have so a refund wont happen so ii will just uninstall and move on this game will never ne installed again. PURCHASE AT YOUR PERIL AVAOID !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review for City Transport Simulator / pending 2026 update As an avid simulation game enthusiast, I was genuinely excited about City Transport Simulator and purchased the Special Edition for about £61 to support the developers. Unfortunately, my experience has been quite disappointing so far. Firstly, setting up my MOZA R5 steering wheel was a bit time-consuming, but that’s typical for any new game. However, the real issue arose in the tutorial. When I reached the tram section, the screen turned a deep blue and stayed that way, despite the game running in the background. I’ve tried restarting multiple times, verifying the game files, and even adjusting settings, but the issue persists. This has essentially made the game unplayable for me. Additionally, I encountered issues with the resolution settings, which kept defaulting incorrectly, and I had to spend quite a bit of time fixing that as well. I’m running the game on Windows 11 with an Intel Core i7 and an NVIDIA 5080 graphics card, and I’ve attached my settings for reference. Given the issues I’ve faced, it’s clear that the game might not have been thoroughly tested on modern systems. I truly want this game to succeed an…

It's definitely rough around the edges, but quite fun. Performance isn't great and the AI (especially pedestrians, but cars too) are very stupid, but it's enjoyable enough for me to have spent 110h in.
