Note: I have not finished the game, but I don't think that it will change the opinions I hold atm. This is one of those Sokpop games that make me a bit sad - a lot of potential, but a flawed outcome. It's very cute, and I love the idea of a little tamagotchi-ish pet you can keep open and tend to when you have a minute to interact with them, but the flaws that the game have unfortunately prevent it from being enjoyable. My biggest issue, and the one that if it were remedied would likely make me go from "negative" to "neutral" would be the lack of saving. As you can see from my playtime I'm over 3 hours in. If I closed the game now, I'd have to play around 3 more hours just to make up the progress I lost. Another flaw is that the game cannot be minimized unless put into full screen mode, and then alt-tabbed out of. It runs fine in the background, so I'm unsure of why this wasn't implemented into the game. It also cannot be resized, so it's forced to take up around 1/6 of your computer screen when not in fullscreen mode. Most of the game is waiting. Waiting for the bunnies to poop, to lay eggs, for eggs to hatch, for rain to fall, for worms to appear, for things to grow, etc etc…3 found this helpful
This game is the most confusing thing i've ever played i cannot even figure out how to build the store or get it to spawn. This is so extremely basic yet it provies 0 tips or any sort of guidance at all to do anything. Its pretty clear by the reviews that people agree with this fact. I just cannot in good faith give this a positive review due to how random this game is. Just don't bother.1 found this helpful
Completely broken; although I would like to believe it's a good game, it literally doesn't open.1 found this helpful
I was originally going to give this a thumbs down, but it grew on me since I finished it. Even though I ended up liking it, it's hard for me to recommend, because I think you have to be a very specific kind of person to have fun with this. The main downfall is that there is no saving - knowing this and going in with the expectation that I'd have to play it twice helped me be way less annoyed by this, but it would obviously be better if that wasn't a problem in the first place. This game gives you ZERO in-game indication of what you're supposed to do, including the fact that you have to use WASD + space instead of being able to use a mouse. My first playthrough consisted of a lot of poking things, a lot of shaking things, and a lot of waiting. It was fun to figure out how things worked without looking at a guide, but I could see how a lot of people would get frustrated by the lack of instruction, especially in the late game. Even I eventually cracked and looked some stuff up. This first playthrough fit well with the tamagotchi vibe that the game is going for - leave it running in the background, experiment when something new pops up, and then go back to whatever else you we…
This is basically a precursor to Stacklands. Pretty fun little idle game, but with a few problems: - It's realllly difficult to find what to do in some instances. If you don't want to look it up, you might get stuck a few hours. - The controls are weird; no mouse input supported. It works, but it's kind of clunky. And the biggest problem by far, which is an issue with more Sokpop games; - Lack of save functionality. Since this is an idle game, it's not unlikely a run will take anywhere between 1 to 10 hours, but there's no way to save progress. If you don't want to keep it running forever (or play other Steam games in between!) you'll have to complete the whole thing in one run. If there would have been an option to save, this game would be a very cute package, and while it still is fun as it is now, it's JUST a bit too lacking to recommend wholeheartedly.
Why is there a Speedrun achievement for a game where 90% of what you do is nothing?
