Cloud

Cloud is a really unusual little game, especially considering it was made as a student project back in 2005. I play as a young boy lying in a hospital bed who dreams about flying through the sky. Instead of giving me enemies or a normal objective, the game lets me fly around a peaceful dream world, collect clouds and shape them into different formations. The whole thing feels more like a quiet daydream than a traditional game, and I think that is exactly what makes it memorable. The flying is easily my favourite part. I can freely move around the sky and gather white clouds, then combine them with darker clouds to change the weather and clear the sky. There is something really relaxing about simply moving through the open space without having to worry about health, enemies or a timer. The controls can take some getting used to, especially because this is an old game with very few modern settings, but once I get comfortable with them I can just concentrate on flying around and experimenting with the clouds. A comfy game where you float around as a cloud... ...hydrating yourself, and then pissing on the world below. Besides the cloud you control there's two other types: Blue water clouds: you collect these to grow your cloud, they move faster than you. Grey clouds: If you touch these you lose water, they're slower than you. You move all clouds on the screen at once, if you try to chase down the water clouds they'll despawn before you catch them, the key is to get your cloud moving one way, and get a nearby blue moving toward you so you meet it and eat it. Once your cloud is full, you float over an island and press space to rain, growing the plants below. (try to position your shadow's bottom edge over the islands center) Each level (after the first one) has 5 islands, which have to be rained on twice each. The art style is minimal but nice. And the music is pleasant. My one gripe is on the sandwich-slice islands, the music loop is too short, and by the time I finished raining it was getting kinda obnoxious. Cute little cloud game with a surprisingly interesting learning curve, shockingly there's tech u can use to speedrun levels faster which involves momentum cancelling other clouds and drifting your own cloud... yeah it's hard to explain but! it's pretty easy to learn <3 Q and E pushes away and attracts clouds, moving your cloud in a direction means moving all other clouds too (there's a clever way u can use this to ur advantage) and u can finish the game by just mindlessly chasing the blue clouds... but be creative and things will go by much faster! (and its more fun)

Might be the worst piece of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I have ever played I beat it that is 30 less minutes I have with my daughter. 3/10 still better than heavens vault and that game costs real money

the controls are so bad this feels less like a game and more like spawn gambling :/

Slow and a bit janky movement makes getting good clouds a long and boring objective. Not to mention the good clouds don't stay too long, often despawning before you can even make it half way to them. Even when you gather enough you have no good notion of where you are dumping your water, so you can spend five minutes trying to maneuver enough to get to that point, then lose all your water without making any progress and have to start the collection process all over again. I can see how this game could be relaxing, but considering how much of a chore collecting is, I found it being more boring and frustrating than relaxing
