Game is broken. You cant give stuff to animals and when you talk to them second time the dialogue doesnt show and youre stuck, Use inventory to unstuck yourself. Game is unfinishable3 found this helpful
Lots of bugs, definitely wasn't even tested before they put it out and they haven't fixed anything. Unstuck does absolutely nothing and if you talk to someone a second time and they have no more dialogue you get locked in place and cant escape. Items that you can pick up in the world don't actually disappear and still show the interact key to pick it up when you can't. The climbing controls are weird, you have to press shift before you even move. If you're trying to move into the way and then press shift nothing happens. Dialog is bland and subpar. Just overall wouldn't recommend, not sure why there is so many positive reviews.3 found this helpful
Want to love it so badly because I'm a fan of games like a short hike, however there are too many bugs, I've already experienced 2 major bugs in the 38 minutes I've played. The first bug, I got stuck climbing a ladder and couldnt get off, when I finally managed to get off I was stuck in a climbing animation and couldnt progress. The second bug, I talked to the quest giver who was supposed to sell the ticket to me and it wouldnt trigger. For some reason anytime I close the game and relaunch, it says I have to start a new game. Unsure how the saving works in the game. Might revisit the game later if bugs are fixed.1 found this helpful
The game looks pretty cool from the outside, and initial impressions are not bad :) That being said, there seems to be a lot of bugs, I can't progress, quest givers and dialogue suddenly stop working, and pickups don't disappear from the world after being picked up, though you can't pick them up again, and I can't figure out how to save, and ive given up on trying to restart the game again. Performance wise, I also wished the game would have run with uncapped framerate, as its (framepacing?) looks a little sluggish1 found this helpful
DO NOT BUY! BROKEN, AND WILL APPARENTLY NOT BE FIXED. or, you know, take your chances. good luck. Yeah ok. The world does need more short hike -likes. But this one does not work. Or at least I couldn't get it to work on my computer. Makes me a little sad. Maybe it will be fixed? Well... There has been over a year to do so, yet it's still broken in ways both simple and complex. UPDATE: Apparently it won't get fixed. Do not buy the game, or only do if finding bugs is your primary motive. The game has some potential, which will be sad to see get wasted. I'll mess around a bit more, but doesn't look great. Yeah I’m giving up. :(
Unfortunately extremely buggy, particularly the intro lobby area where it's easy to get stuck or deadlock the system. We were expecting something like "a short hike" but I guess this guy's summer vacation ended and decided to abandon it rather than fix the obvious problems. Do not buy.
