Te game's core mechanics are good but the difficulty curve is atrocious which turns it into an exercise in pain and frustration. Pros: - The graphics suit the game theme well and are pleasing to the eye - The game loads fast and plays rather fast, suitable for both short and long gaming sessions - Team and player names are editable Cons: - Completely unbalanced. Starting with Star, the 4th difficulty level (out of 6) where the AI has 3 energy and draws 4 cards per turn more than you, the championship becomes un-winnable and, as mentioned in the synopsis, an exercise in futility and frustration. You just sit and watch the AI play infinite energy/card combos only stopped by the shotclock hard limit. It is a vexing, completely unenjoyable, non-stop uphill struggle to close the point gap regardless of who has the home advantage (as the dev claims that would be a game-changer). One of the many examples: had all match long the Analytics, Luxury Locker Room, Superfans and Full Court Pressure in play, the AI only manages to play Star Player during the last quarter and still beats me 85-69. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3734867970 https://steamcommunity.com/shar…3 found this helpful
This game makes me feel like Yugi Muto but instead of being possessed by an ancient Egyptian pharaoh it's Kobe Bryant's spirit taking over and sending the opposing team to The Shadow Realm1 found this helpful
What a great blend of basketball and Slay-the-Spire deckbuilding mechanics! Well done. I find the game challenging, personally, and I appreciate that I'm still discovering new cards 10ish hours into playing the game.
fun game but either im just really bad or it was too difficult on higher levels. the ai just gets more moves than you so i dont think its all just me being dumb lol
Good game. Hope they add more content.
Good deckbuilder, still at work unlocking modes but I'm starting to understand how to build a good one within the play mechanics of the game. If you like basketball and deckbuilders, well worth a shot.
