Have you ever read a comic book and wanted to play the hero on the pages? Now you can with Code of Superheroes, an RPG/strategy game where you don the cape of a superhero from the start of their careers and build them into a powerhouse. Take up the challenge and guide your hero to greatness!
Features:
* Randomly generated world every game to play in, including different heroes to interact and form relationships with (or not!) and a world that changes as you play.
* Generate your own hero from scratch, or have the game randomly generate you a hero from thousands of different seeds with custom health, powers and name and jump right into the action! Each character has their own flavor and 7 different stats, each with various effects on the game.
* The Main Hub is designed to view everything in the game at a glance. Slick, polished interface with lots of built-in help and designed to be simple to learn and get going.
* Over-arcing mission to accomplish every game, database includes hundreds of quests with variances. Build Fame, and earn and spend Hero Points for building your character as you see fit. Fight evil villains, play side games of adventure, and experience lots of daily little missions.
* Engage enemies in fiery combat with thousands of random attacks, weapons and over a dozen modifiers! Tons of customizable options; want combat simmed? Want heroes to never die? Want to play to a certain Fame or Level? Or just play forever? It’s all easy to do.
* Other Heroes in the game develop and change over time, equip themselves and interact with your hero.
* The Built in Universe Editor allows you to set up your game the way you want using your own custom heroes, stats and cities.

So: I have to start the game through questionable means (otherwise it is eternally locked in "running install script()" - note I have a pretty strong setup). every single system/mechanic in this game is exploitable in some way (literally heal my character mid combat by just dragging the combat window), there's nigh to no options to change f.e. sound, the windows popping up are quite jarring as well as the fact you can't resize, even though there's a character creation you can't even choose your characters icon, dying literally closes the game, you can soft lock yourself in combat if you have no attacks (which is possible!) and best of all: IT IS NOT EVEN MARKED AS EARLY ACCESS. Really, it is more of a browser game than anything + it might've been enjoyable if it were free to play with some in game store for new features and a way to support the devs. But otherwise wow - this game is really a mess and is not fit for release. It has a lot of potential though,7 found this helpful
It's pretty neat. Reminds a touch of Bitlife but Superheros. I saw some complaints about the static art? Does no one watch trailers before they buy a game? Yeah, it's not a 3D game, it's $6 too, so relax lol. My only complaint is the sound, it's kinda random depending on what you are doing but its not necessary. I turned it off and just listened to YouTube while I clicked away. I think its a neat little experience and I'm having fun with it. Recommend to the Dev to have more detailed tool-tips on what governs X attacks or point requirements to upgrade, but honestly, you can figure it out on your own if you just do the math in your head. Also dying... it is really and I mean really lame that the game just closes on death lol. Small things matter, you know? Still, it's a neat time burner, I like it anyway.3 found this helpful
OK OK i DID get the product for free. But I have ZERO problem badmouthing a bad game even if I got it for free to produce content. This is NOT a bad game if you know what youre paying for. It's a text based simulator where you create a role playing type character, you click on various destinations and missions, and let the adventure kind of tell its own story from there. If youre familiar with text based sims of yesteryear then you'll feel right at home. Does it have flaws? Yes and I've communicated them to the dev who was extremely polite and punctual with their response. The bigger flaws would be a lack of volume for audio (it has a mute button so you can still play and watch something if you wish) and no ability to adjust screen resolution. The game pops up ina n app window on your screen and you play it from there. No fullscreen (that I could see) and no ability to adjust resolution is present. Otherwise, solid game for what it is.3 found this helpful
I love it. I found out about this game while browsing around the store. What intrigued me about it though was the fact that I could also make my own heroes! I used an A.I. app to generate a portrait of myself into Superman and all I can say is this: This game is pretty awesome. Then I spent like about, half a day, coming up with my own heroes. This game scratches a certain itch for me that is missing in a superhero RPG. I know there's other games similar to this, but maybe it's the fact that I can play as a gigachad version of myself that got me really into it. I'm not familiar with editing games, so I'm glad there were instructions built in the game for me. Rest In Peace to my first randomly generated hero- Temporal Crusader. - You weren't that famous of a hero, because nothing really happens in your city... but you seem to enjoy coffee just like me.1 found this helpful
Boring. Almost entirely random. Little strategy of import. Boring power sets that are entirely based on offense. Events soon become repetitive. All the mini-games seem purely luck based. Turns devolve into boring click-wait-click-wait mode. I played just long enough I couldn't get a refund. I strongly recommend you avoid this. At least it was cheap.
Well this game has its chance, the dev abandoned it so its another waste of space on Steam. Just move on to anything, it'll be better than whatever this COULD have been.
