Comet Crasher

Comet Crasher is a mediocre action shooter "endless faller" game slapped together with Unity. It's a ripoff of someone else's game called Downwell. The object of this arcade-like experience is to shoot things as you fall endlessly down a 2D vertical shaft. Hitting objects reduces your "power", etc. The 2D graphics here are really lacklustre, and while it's not 2D retro pixel "art", it's not much better, and comes across as lazy and phoned in. PC gamers will immediately be insulted by the request to use a console peasant children's toy game controller instead of KB+M. I didn't spend thousands on a gaming rig just so I could pretend to be a console peasant. It's okay to make a derivative game, even the best of all games today stand on the shoulders of giants. But a very, very basic rule here is that if you are going to rip off someone else's game, you have to do [i]better[/i] than the game you're ripping off, not [i]worse![/i] While the graphics here are better than Downwell (wouldn't be hard), the gameplay is worse.
