About Corona Blossom Vol.2 The Truth From Beyond
"Corona Blossom" is a visual novel.
The game features character art and designs by artist nanaca mai, who previously worked on the super deformed character art in "The Fruit of Grisaia."
Now, her cute characters will come to life, moving and expressing their emotions using the "e-mote" system.
STORY:
R-ne: a cute, metallic lifeform who one day fell from space.
Keiji Osaki: a young man with a hazy past, now working at a mech garage.
After whiling away much of the summer together, the two of them make a promise: They're going to return R-ne to her home planet.
Their plans are interrupted, though, by another couple of new arrivals to Hanma Town: the headstrong space pirates (or "rare metal hunters") Lily and Yunie.
Will Keiji and his friends ever be able to return R-ne to space?
And what will become of the group's budding romances?
The truth always emerges from the place you'd least expect...

Developed by Frontwing and published by Frontwing USA, Corona Blossom Vol.2: The Truth From Beyond continues the series by taking the cheerful science fiction premise established in the first chapter and gradually steering it toward a more dramatic and mysterious direction. The story once again follows Keiji Osaki and the lovable alien android R-ne as they continue searching for a way to return her to her distant home. Their journey is interrupted by the arrival of two self-proclaimed space pirates, Lily and Yunie, whose mission to capture R-ne for profit immediately creates conflict while introducing new layers to the overarching narrative. Although the sequel retains the lighthearted charm that defines the series, it also raises the emotional stakes by revealing clues about hidden motives, forgotten histories, and secrets that extend far beyond the quiet town where the story unfolds. As a visual novel, the experience remains almost entirely centered on storytelling rather than gameplay mechanics. Players spend their time progressing through dialogue, character interactions, and scripted scenes that focus on developing relationships and uncovering the mystery surrounding R-ne's e…1 found this helpful
Corona Blossom Vol.2: The Truth From Beyond is a visual novel developed by Frontwing and serves as the second chapter in the Corona Blossom trilogy. The story continues directly after the events of the first volume, expanding on the relationship between Keiji, the protagonist, and R-ne, the alien girl made of metal. This installment deepens the world’s lore, introducing new characters and moral conflicts while maintaining the light humor and emotional tone of the series. Gameplay remains standard for a visual novel. Players read through dialogue and story segments with only a few choices affecting optional scenes. The focus is entirely on narrative progression, character development, and visual presentation rather than interactivity. Narratively, The Truth From Beyond explores themes of trust, belonging, and responsibility. It moves from slice-of-life comedy toward more serious science fiction territory, revealing secrets about R-ne’s origin and the forces pursuing her. The writing balances levity and tension effectively, preparing the ground for the final volume. Visually, the game continues Frontwing’s strong art direction. The anime-style character designs are bright and exp…1 found this helpful
the greatest game I've ever played!!!
I'm in love with Yunie
Good
Seems a bit smoother when it comes to the E-mote system and sprites compared to the first volume, could be just placebo though. The story picks up right where it left off. I had a lot of fun reading with how the space pirates got fleshed out, many funny scenarios as well. This continued roughly until the middle where there was a kind of random tone shift in the opposite direction which ruined the mood, it did not get better and they threw in a pretty lame twist as well at the end. The writing was so consistent and flowed nicely in the first volume, so the quality nose dive was a bummer. If you have the patch, my suspicions of the H-scenes being made up got confirmed and the trend of them being in a separate menu from the story continues. I had mixed feelings regarding them. One could have been so good if animated but it was static instead. Another one started out with a very questionable scenario I did not find fitting nor deserving of that character. The last one was actually good. Overall, for me this ranks worse than the first volume but the first half is worth reading at least.
