Volume 3 is a huge step up from Volume 2 in terms of plot and storytelling. Rather than just dealing with some inter-personal drama you get a whole narrative about chasing your dreams, overcoming what society thinks you are, and bonding with those that are close to you. Has it yet reached the level of being truly thought provoking and inciteful? Eh.... not really, no. But that's not why most people are coming here and it would be a bit presumptuous of me to dock it points for not getting there. It definitely tries a lot more than volumes 1 and 2 and I appreciate it for that. This is probably the point where I'm starting to regret Nekopara's decision to be an H-game. You've introduced this concept of people looking down at catgirls as just being pets and unable to accomplish things on their own, and I think that's a really interesting piece of world building that could be expanded on to show a whole array of struggles based on different personalities and the likes. But when 35-40% of the run time has to be dedicated to sex scenes where you do basically the same thing every time but with different characters/voices, it doesn't leave a lot of time to build on a more complex narrat…
