Cosmic Pebble

Why are the danger areas almost the exact same shade of red as the land they're attached to? For a game about disability you haven't done many favors to those who need a little contrast between safe spots and non-safe spots in order to tell them apart. I really want to give this game a proper try because there's a lot I like about it, but I'm not going to force myself to navigate a slippery character through poorly-marked hazards just to experience the music and story.

The most underrated game on steam. Level design makes it as much a puzzle game as a platformer and the movement is super satisfying (especially when you finally complete that one hard section). Story is pretty damn good, and the bonus challenges after completing the levels make you think completely outside of the box leading to insanely satisfying moments when you finally figure out the route and execution to complete that one jump that has had you stumped. Criminally underrated

A small game with big hearts! Cosmic Pebble introduces a unique boomerang mechanic in addition to our familiar precise platformer. You'll have a lot of fun traversing through the courses once you get used to it. The control is much tighter than I thought, even comparable to top platformers I've played. Each level features unique twists; It's not the most bizarre thing in the world, but it can keep you engaged throughout the run A year ago, I came across this game on the devlog about how not to write a game story. It intrigued me because I haven't seen many devlogs that focus on the story, let alone reviewing its mistakes. I can see the developer putting a lot of heart and effort into crafting the game and story. As a self-proclaimed precision platformer and character-oriented story enjoyer, I decided to give it a try. I agree with the other reviews, this is a highly underrated Celeste like game. If you like Celeste, you will like this game. It's fresh as well, kind of reminds me of the strawberry jam mod. It's about as hard as the vanilla a sides.

I feel like this is the pure definition of a hidden gem. I think the platforming is as fun as celetre, even though some platform placement sometimes means it isn't always as polished (resulting in a couple jumps that require too much precision sometimes, though not frequent). Each level has different gimmick to keep things fun. The writting is charming and the characters are fun. The game is cheap, but I would have bough it for more, it's just surprisingly fun. Only the boss battle sequence were "not really fun" to me because of one hit kill and no checkpoint in the fights. Deeply recommend this one!
