About Coup Ahoo
You're finally fed up with your fleet and their incompetence. Take down all 13 of them one by one and claim your spot at the top. Along the way, you'll discover precious cargo dice that represent your ship's vitality and firepower. You may also encounter friendly merchants, carpenters, and potential crew members eager to join and assist you on your journey.Your ship's cargo consists of dice, and their total pip values represent your ship's total HP. These dice also influence the number of damage dice you roll in combat. Be careful not to let your cargo's total value reach the dreaded number, as even rolling that in combat can have unfavorable consequences.

I originally heard about this game on https://js13kgames.com/2024/games/coup-ahoo and played both the simplified 13kb version and the directors cut, totaling over 30 hours before this was even released on steam, so yeah, I have some thoughts. First want to say to the developer Antti, you really have something here, and thanks for keeping it free of mature elements so kids can play it too. This made it fun for my whole family to sit on the couch and see who could go further on a run. :) --- Summary: Highly recommend this light, yet "mini-decision packed", rogue-like game for those who like games like Slay the Spire and Dicey Dungeons. --- My elementary and middle school aged kids have played the JS version on tablets for hours as well, and this served as a very accessible introduction to rogue-like games for them. Limited number of choices, but lots of little decisions that influence the outcome of battles kept them engaged and understanding the core mechanics. As with other rogue-like games, the fun is getting to know the meta and what to expect for power-ups and events, and using them to squeak-by and stay alive long enough to get some delightfully broken, or over-powered com…3 found this helpful
This game is FUN. I have sunk a lot of time into it and enjoy every minute of it. I get steady problems with crashes however. The creator is very responsive though and I think they will get everything sorted out one day. One thing I may recommend is an autosave function to where if your game does crash you can at least pick up one interaction prior to the crash so you do not lose progress when the game fails. Overall, GET THIS GAME!1 found this helpful
Fun game, I had some issues with the math and word boats where I can't figure out what the rules are how to solve the puzzle. I really like to progress further, but it seems luck is not on my side and I have to start again and again! I like that it is still addicting and I keep coming back. One day I will have a worthy crew and lots of dice!1 found this helpful
