Battle for Sea 3D

[h3]If you're looking for a battleship clone, look elsewhere: While the gameplay is true to the original, the bland visuals, uncooperative camera, and sluggish pace provide--at most--one to two rounds of enjoyment.[/h3] Upon starting the game, you're greeted by a fullscreen window with only one option: Place your ships. Through quick trial and error, you're probably figure out that you click once to anchor, then once more to rotate the angle, but nowhere is this shown. Speaking of which, there doesn't appear to be any settings menu, or exit button. The purpose of the game is to take shots against an AI opponent and sink each other's ships. The cannon animation is slow, and gameplay is further delayed by an unskippable full screen jpg that requires you to click it away to continue. To make matters worse, the camera is difficult to adjust. If you play in the default isometric mode, you can manage to select a square on the enemy field, but once you reveal any of the larger ships, squares can begin to be hidden behind them, causing much annoyance. Battle for Sea 3D is a basic ripoff of the old Battleship! boardgame game (copyright Milton Bradley and presumably reproduced here without permission). Gameplay consists of placing your ships on a 10x10 grid and then taking turns at shooting squares to try locate and sink the enemy ships. There's 3D graphics but they're mediocre. Resolution is locked and can't be changed. The general level of quality here is low, making the $10 USD price tag laughably optimistic.

The game doesn't even load after placing your ships.

AI is not even trying to win. Also placed ships in the same exact positions twice in a row (grouped in the middle), maybe always?
