About Covenant of Solitude

Some are born with the power to control monsters—genies. Feared, exploited, and hunted, these gifted few walk a lonely path. In the remote village of Listy, a boy named Fort hides this curse in silence. But when war crashes through his home and blood stains the streets, Fort is forced to embrace the truth of who—and what—he is. His fate is set in motion in a story of bonds, betrayal, and the cost of power.

Command monsters with the blood of a genie! Contract with creatures from four mighty tribes—dragons, fairies, beasts, and vampires. Assign jobs, combine tribe and job traits, and build your fantastic team. Master turn-based battles and uncover the full strength of Fort's cursed legacy in this classic-style fantasy RPG!

It's pretty fun for me, Its Kemco so most of you know what you're getting- sometimes decent to subpar story but fun and good retro RPG. The class/race system is pretty cool. My only real gripe with Kemco is the "DLC" it should be an option like even greedy square did for FF 1-6 in full releases of those beloved classics, and especially at the price Kemcos already charging for subpar but still fun games. You like them, hate them or somewhere in-between, but most are better than what the so called "A" devs are shoveling out these days. I'll grab me a retro any day over most of this half baked trash we keep getting. Covenant is still a solid RPG make your own party, 3 besides your main character from 4 races, Pixie, Vampire, Beast, and Dragon, each with 1 of 2 nice passives to choose from, classes- warrior, thief, cleric, wizard. Mix them up any way you please!

The storyline wasn't bad, but didn't stand out that impressively to me. This game didn't really seem to draw me in aside from the initial premise that made me intrigued to buy it. I didn't find the leveling system that enjoyable. A large part of that is because I don't enjoy mindless grinding for xp as enjoyable as I used to. The art was enjoyable. But I wouldn't recommend the game to others, it just feels fairly lack luster even in the era that this game heralds to.
