Crime Shop Simulator: A Prison Boss Game brings the crafting and simulation antics of Prison Boss VR out of the slammer and onto the streets!
Welcome to New Yolk City,  a wonderful place to live, except that the Mayor has gone on a banning spree. Run a chain of stalls crafting legal and not-quite-legal merchandise,  all on a quest to conquer the black market and get super duper rich!

PLAY SOLO OR GET A PARTNER IN CRIME

You can become a self-made-egg, play in co-op with one of your friends… or recruit a totally reliable stranger from the internet.

Big fan of the first game, and this one expands on the mechanics pretty well. Co-op is fun and stable for the most part. I wish the physics were a little less erratic with bottles flying everywhere and doors snapping open and shut, but it's not too bad. I hope you guys start getting the player numbers you're looking for soon enough. Maybe Steam Frame release will help? BTW I asked Gaben and he said Steam Frame releases June 1st :O

Fantastic sequel! This game is a classic room-scale experience that uses an environment that scales to a normal small space. It feels fantastic being able to walk around without using any motion controls and forgetting I am not actually a chicken selling contraband in the 1920s.

Janky controls alone warranted the thumbs-down, but what sealed the deal for me to write this, is that I have seldom seen a more actively hostile user interface. If I have to lean to the side like I'm about to do a cartwheel just to look AROUND the massive tutorial pop-up that's following my head movement in order to even see the thing that I'm supposed to interact with, that is cartoon villainy levels of bad game design and incompetent execution.

I love the concept of this game, especially for co-op, but it's still very buggy at the moment. I'm going to record the issues I had here in the hopes that some of them can be addressed, because I think it would be very fun if it wasn't so frustrating at times. The issues I had in single player: Room scale is a great idea, but in practice it didn't work well for me. It made the room close to the size of my play space, but not exactly right, so there were a couple of corners I had to avoid. The physics can get a little wonky. If a drawer has several things in it, opening it feels like it weighs 500 pounds. It's way to easy to bump things around accidentally. The doors on the cabinets are sometimes hard to open/close reliably. I soft-locked the tutorial the first time I played because I pulled the register handle after serving two people, instead of pulling it separately for each, and I couldn't figure out how to continue. Multiplayer is unfortunately much worse. If you join a multiplayer lobby in room scale, there's no way to walk to the other player's side of the room, and you aren't allowed to switch back to seated/standing mode while in a lobby. After a in-game day…
