Simple, vibrant, with great controls and tracks full of whimsy. I'm having so much fun that I paused the game to write this review and buy their other game, since I know once I get back in I'll be playing all the way through!! Highly recommended to solo kart racing fans :) Edit: now that I'm chasing the dev times, I am so locked in on a rage/love level. Some dev times are so easy you'll do them by accident, and others will take hours. (fyi to the dev: ARC Arcade Racing YT shouted out your game in a recent video on the steam sale, which brought me here. The game is easily worth full price, but I'm also glad that the sale and video brought more racing fans here!)

Ordinary kart racer with drifting and basic weapon mechanics, but its unforgiving difficulty makes it more frustrating than fun unless bought on sale. There was once an amusement park that began to lose its charm and visitors. In an attempt to bring people back, the owners introduced animatronics. That decision didn’t go as planned. The machines seemed to develop minds of their own, eventually taking control of the park and threatening to break out into the world beyond it. The only way to stop them is by overwhelming their systems through racing, and the only ones capable of doing that are the forgotten mascots of the old park. The game takes you through four themed worlds, each offering three standard races and a final boss showdown. It’s interesting that you can freely drive around these small hubs to reach each race, but there isn’t really anything to discover along the way, and you can simply just head straight for the next event. Progression is strictly linear anyway, since each race requires tickets to enter, and you earn those only by winning. Gameplay is simple and familiar if you’ve played kart racers before. You’ll spend most of your time holding down the throttle, ra…

I've been itching for another story mode kart based racer like Diddy Kong Racing and this game scratches that itch! Quite challenging (with an option to turn the difficulty down if it's too much) and a low poly aesthetic that's reminiscent of the N64/PS1 era of kart racers. Been bopping my head along to the music too, recommended!
