Great expansion with enough of what made you keep coming back to the main game. Some new enemies are thrown in, and a fun new weapon near the end. The conclusion is obvious if you have finished the main game but it is fun none the less. Thankfully it sounds like they are never going to be able to remaster warhead which will keep the pipeline open for a while for those that wish to purchase the original Crysis and not the watered down console remaster that delisted it.

This game built my childhood in a way few others ever did. I honestly lost count of how many times I finished Crysis Warhead from start to finish; even on Delta difficulty. The graphics were incredible for their time and still look fantastic today. Out of the entire franchise, this is the one I love the most. It feels simpler, tighter, and more professionally designed than the later games. The story is excellent and Psycho is a badass protagonist. One of the biggest unique things about Warhead is that it actually had third-person cutscenes. something that never happened before or after in the series. As a kid, the way enemies would cloak and the isolation of those frozen forests, the mine, and the train tunnels scared the hell out of me. That sense of dread is still with me to this day because of how impactful this game was. The shooting and weapon customization felt amazing. Stealth was pretty much useless though. enemies would always path toward the exact spot you shot from, even with a silencer. But honestly? I didn’t mind.
