About Cube Control

What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Or something. We’re not really sure exactly how that applies here but we’re using it anyway because they told us to. Come to think of it, this game will actually kill you (or rather, your six-sided avatar) quite frequently, furthering our confusement about the aforementioned statement. Anyway...

Here are some fun and exciting activities with which this game may cause you to engage:

  • Intense process optimization and problem solving!
  • Unrelenting timing discipline!
  • Limited moves per level. It’s like a horrible, twisted game of chess!
  • Peculiar devices that will enrich your cube maneuvering experience!
Deepen your connection with the complex and nuanced properties of the six-sided polyhedron, colloquially referred to as cube.

Featuring a plethora of essential life experiences you won’t want to miss:

  • Endure crushing disappointment as you snatch defeat from the jaws of victory!
  • Hone your ability to make rational choices while under tremendous pressure!
  • Expose yourself to vibrant color palettes while simultaneously having your patience pushed to its limits!
  • Gain a more complete understanding of your tolerance for performing increasingly difficult tasks!
  • Consider the grand possibilities of the unknown!
Experts assure us that you don’t have to be an analytic philosopher or behavioural scientist in order to fully comprehend the weight of what will be required of you.No checkpoints. No practice mode. Just plain luck pure skill.Whether you’re being launched through the air uncontrollably or plunged into a pit of spike-filled madness, you’ll be glad you were along for the ride (we exposed test subjects to this game and found that most of them—the ones that survived, that is—shared a similar sentiment). Will we see you up ahead?

Extremely challenging and punishing, not casual. The puzzle element isn't so difficult, but quite fun and ingenious. The action/timing element is brutally hard however. You will die a lot due to mistiming moves. Finishing a super hard level is exhilarating. I even immediately exit the game and back up my saves since it's so hard to repeat in case of data loss (which can happen so back them up). The fit and finish is very good for a game of this cost. Some of the moves are little too time-sensitive, and is often a matter of luck relating to the refresh/polling rate of registering mouse clicks. I'd also like a save system. Currently if you 'die' aka mess up you have to replay the entire level. They can make that 'hard' mode, with separate achievements. Level 3-9 is my limit for completing a level in one go, and it'd be nice to play ahead and try more levels with new mechanics and so on. Also a way to re-map inputs, I'd like right-click backtracking.

Cube Control is a very fun and gripping puzzle game with a lot of content. You play as a cube which has a limited ammount of moves which it can make. There are upgrades within the levels which give you additional moves. You have to strategically plan your moves, so you don't run out of moves. There are also obstacles which you have to overcome. All in all, Cube Control is a very challening puzzle game and I'm sure you'll have quite some frustrating moments because of dying and having to start all over again, but it's also a lot of fun and very challening and frustrating moments are a part of challening video games. :) I personally highly recommend it to all lovers of puzzle games. PS: This game deserves a lot more attention, in my opinion.

A very good game worth buying, I'll admit. The levels are very challenging, to the point they can't be done from the first try. One must be patient and smart to complete. Nevertheless, I'll give it an 9/10.

The game is very hard and finicky i though this game was more off a some what hard game were you might have some moves to spear and you try to the end with as many moves as possible left in kind off high score sense but no. you have to be perfect i you want to complete the long level and did i mentions that there are no checkpoints which i makes the game pretty annoying. I did not complete the game since it stop being fun when i got stuck and just could not bother with the game any more. I would wait for the developer to improve the game before buying or if you like ingenious puzzles that are super hard and annoying then go for it i guess. but something good about the game is that its pretty long and graphics are cool. 4/10

fun puzzle game! the puzzles are clever, and definitely intentionally frustrating (in a good way, like Getting Over It) as the game's description says. highly recommend playing with a mouse. controller is supported but it makes timing-based moves a lot more challenging.

A well crafted, but frustratingly difficult puzzle game. Reminds me of Sokoban in how unforgiving it can be with its tight move budget and lack of safe states inside a level. But if that is not a deterrent, then this is a game for you.
