Note: I received a copy of this game from a wonderful friend. ^^
A hidden object game that proves more challenging and at times, frustrating than cozy.

Introduction
Curious Paws: hidden objects is a hidden object game developed and published by McMaush Games. When you start up the game, you're presented with six levels right from the start, so you can start with any level that you want. The objective is to find a certain number of items, and while some of these items are shown at the start of the level, others have a question mark, so you have to figure out what the item could be. The usual gameplay functions are present, such as zooming in and out of levels using the mouse wheel and clicking on the magnifying glass to use up a hint if you're stuck finding an item. Only full screen mode is available although you can force windowed mode by pressing Alt + Enter (but you can't resize the game screen, so it's really a moot point). Each level has a secret mouse, and finding all the mice unlocks a secret level. Steam achievements are available, but they won't count towards a user's global total until the game is out of "Steam is learning about thi…14 found this helpful
Curious Paws: Hidden Objects is a short and relaxing hidden object puzzle game with the premise of exploring beautiful nature scenes through the eyes of a cat, searching for the little things that would catch a feline's attention, like a passing bug or a swimming fish. Sadly, the cat itself isn't actually present in the game outside of one level, where it’s part of the background, and you just have to imagine you are one. Curious Paws: Hidden Objects follows a similar format to other "find 100" style games, but while the levels in those games are usually monochrome, this time the environments are very colorful and vibrant from the start. There are 6 levels in total, plus a bonus level that unlocks after you complete all of them. Each level tasks you with finding around 40 of three different types of insects or other creatures, alongside a special hidden mouse. The trick here is that these creatures share a color scheme that is very similar to their surroundings, making them tricky to spot, like green frogs hidden on green leaves or teal dragonflies resting on teal flowers. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3759599269 To add a bit of a challenge,…13 found this helpful
Great, unique art and very relaxing music and other sounds. I enjoyed getting to discover the objects “to find” in various levels, the “?” aspect of it was fun! My only issue as of writing this is that I am unable to get 100% on the first (top-left) level, missing a dragonfly. I’m not sure if it’s me or the game. :/ EDIT: Was able to get that last one I needed! :D Thank you to dev and player for hint.3 found this helpful
The main screen welcomes you with six images, each providing quick access to its own stage. Every stage is beautifully illustrated with vibrant colors, and although the scenes are small enough to fit on a single screen, they still show enough detail. There’s also a zoom feature if you want a closer look, though it doesn’t let you zoom in as much as you might expect. With the game's title making the genre pretty obvious, there aren’t many surprises here. Your goal is to search each scene for hidden objects by clicking on them with your mouse. Every stage contains only three different items to find, but each one appears dozens of times, usually somewhere around 40 copies. Most of the hidden objects are animals that naturally fit the environment, mainly insects and frogs, although you’ll occasionally search for everyday items, such as candies in the patio stage. Sometimes one or more of the listed objects is replaced with a question mark. The mystery item is revealed as soon as you find the first one, but this rarely causes any trouble because the most common creature or object in the scene usually stands out before long. The small size of the scenes actually works in the game's fa…2 found this helpful
Super cute game! The music is chill, the ambient sounds are appropriate and creative and the art isn't too cluttered, with nice, easy-on-the-eyes colors on the 6 playing levels. There is a good zoom and a hint button (use the escape key). It was very relaxing to move around and enjoy the moving parts (Wasps! Tumbleweeds!) while you search for the required number of hidden objects. If you are an achievement hunter (which I'm not) I suggest you review the list of achievements BEFORE you start playing. I really enjoyed playing this game and hope there will be more!1 found this helpful
