"Cursed House 5" is an atypical match-3 game with minigames as bonus. It runs flawlessly and it will stimulate your brain! A very tricky match-3 with power-ups and unique ways to solve the puzzles. You get to fight against evil and through the use of an ancient amulet that you slowly power up, to restore the house to its former glory! The game contains the minigames Spot the Difference, Solitaire and HO. The levels themselves are hard but leave an impression and above all they are fun. So you will be glad it wasn't a piece of cake that required no thinking and ended in 10 minutes. The visual effects, animations and music will help a lot in keeping you calm and focused on the task at hand. If you are stuck, you can use the hint system, which I find very good, comprehensive and helpful. On top of that, they have added a beautifully crafted grimoire as help. It will keep you busy for hours but without overstaying its welcome and you can always replay it due to its nature. One of the most fun and intriguing match-3 puzzle games out there. This is one of my favorites in the Cursed House series, even if the cursed house scene looks kind of tacky. 115 levels of M3-puzzle fusion, and a lot of minigames, mostly solitaire, but several spot the difference scenes and HOS. The difficulty of the puzzles is a bit scattered, but overall the puzzles have more polish than CH3 and CH4, which were the first games of the series to use the M3-puzzle concept. Some levels are pretty easy, but others are sneaky where you need to plan a few moves ahead. There is still a fair bit of what looks like playing half the level and then it will finish playing itself, but a decent amount of challenge without being excessively frustrating. Morphing powerups and small bombs to help you out, and an instant hint given to you if you're taking a while. I wish the hints could've been turned off as they seem to pop up relatively quickly, and I'm not a slow M3 player. You have to use the powerups no matter how good a player you are. I've commented on this elsewhere, and the developer has made some of the newer games with less reliance on powerups, but this Cursed House is a powerup fest. The house restoration scene has gone back to what Curse…1 found this helpful
Cursed House is my favorite Match three series!1 found this helpful
So far, this is the weakest game in the series (that I've played so far). Not only can the tasks usually be solved in under 2 minutes, but the devs seem to get carried away with domino effects. In countless levels, you can only watch the game solve itself. A good sign that the dev/publisher doesn't care about their customers is the annoying hints. They keep popping up, as if they think the player is suffering from Alzheimer's. Ah, but you can turn these hints off in the options...it's just a shame that they don't save...as soon as you leave the options, the hints are turned back on...and this was reported over a year ago and NOTHING HAPPENED!!!! Guys, there are so many good match-3 games...this isn't one of them.
