Very long for a Cursed House game, 120 M3-puzzle levels and loads of minigames (HOS, spot the difference, solitaire, Sokoban). A minigame appears around every 3 levels. The difficulty is about average for the Cursed House series, but a handful of levels are considerably more challenging. The new mechanic of having deflected cannon shots can be as much a pain as pleasure. The hard difficulty mode option was retired by this point of the series, and there are no black coins. I did encounter a random bug with some of the levels featuring permanent bombs, where if you trip the permanent bombs before all the otherwise readily accessible coins are obtained, the game will crash to desktop. There is at least one level where if you blow up certain pieces in the wrong order, it will be rendered impossible to finish, and there's no "replay" button immediately appearing when this happens. The cursed house scene, which is once again a cursed house and not a town/village, isn't bad, but I liked the previous CH8 house scene more. It's not bad, but a little grindy to finish and does have a few kinks. The replay levels on demand feature took a few more games before it was implemente…1 found this helpful
"Cursed House 9 - Match 3 Puzzle" is an atypical match-3 game with minigames as bonus. It runs flawlessly and it will stimulate your brain! A very tricky match-3 with power-ups and unique ways to solve the puzzles. You get to banish the evil creatures and through the use of an ancient amulet that you slowly power up, to restore the house to its former glory! The game contains a variety of minigames such as Spot the Difference, Hidden Objects and Solitaire. The levels themselves are hard but leave an impression and above all they are fun. So you will be glad it wasn't a piece of cake that required no thinking and ended in 10 minutes. The visual effects, animations and music will help a lot in keeping you calm and focused on the task at hand. If you are stuck, you can use the hint system, which I find very good, comprehensive and helpful. On top of that, they have added a beautifully crafted grimoire as help. It will keep you busy for hours but without overstaying its welcome and you can always replay it due to its nature. One of the most fun and intriguing match-3 puzzle games out there. As the game progresses the mouse pointer at the start of a level becomes more and more sticky and hard to move. Eventually it disappears entirely and the game is impossible to play further. Mouse pointer mysteriously started to work on 4/3 after about a week of problems. Game has 120 levels and becomes a grind. I believe Level 65 is unsolvable and had to skip it. The ending is interesting but not sure if worth it for all the time spent.1 found this helpful
For some inexplicable reason, the developers have incorporated copy protection from the Allways-On. And this is a cheap match-3 game whose individual pieces are all the same. I can't recommend it.
none of the cursed house games recognizes my achievements, why???
An enjoyable game that has you follow strategies to conquer each level, interspersed with hidden object, solitaire or other games. By the end you will have cleaned up the cursed house to its former glory. I have played all the Cursed House games and every one is fun.
