Cursed New Year

Although the game looks and plays very well, the story is extremely lacking. The player movement was way too slow, and nothing really happens in the game to justify being in the horror category. Is it worth the $2.99? (or the $2,09 sale that is happening at the time of this review) Absolutely not. Save your money and simply skip over this one. I gave Cursed New Year a 1/5 My rating system: 1 = Horrible game. Don't even look at it. 2 = Bad game. 3 = Average. Its neither good nor bad. 4 = Worth Playing. 5 = Must play!

It lists English as one of the languages on the Steam page, but none of the written text was translated when I tried to play. I had to click around to find the settings and nothing I changed changed the language displayed.

I finished the game in less then an hour. It's good for a couple of jump scares. The game looked great though I wish you could move faster and that there was more to the story. I would love to see a part 2 to the game to help the story make more since.

Had a couple decent jumpscares but there wasn't a clear story and was super short, not sure if it has something to do with translation. Just feels like a demo versus a full game. Had problems with the game streaming smoothly since you can't adjust graphical settings other then resolution which really didn't help.

The inability to move faster than a snail was pretty frustrating. The notes didn't piece together the story very well, there were very good jump scares but it may have been because they were incredibly loud. Not very intuitive on where you were supposed to go next in the house to continue it. Finished in about 40 minutes. Overall, it wasn't for me but I can see how others would enjoy it as a little intro to horror and if you have patience for moving slower than a snail in game.
