In Family Curse, you'll explore two houses and a bit of outside area. While using stock assets, gfx are still pretty decent and everything has a good horror vibe to it. There's only a very little amount of jump scares and they are all good. There's a bit of everything: objects to interact with, a bit of puzzling, a roaming monster, lots of gore and even some otherworldly sceneries. The story itself was of course very simplistic. But at least there was one that sort of made sense, assuming the supernatural exists. Note that the game doesn't have a manual save option, but it does have plenty of auto-save checkpoints. While it is somewhat of a short game, there was a lot more than expected. Took me about three hours to complete and enjoyed it from start to finish.

I liked the game and it had some good jump scares; the game itself wasn't too difficult. The atmosphere was creepy and I was kept on my toes, walking slowly around the house, wondering when the next jump scare was coming. EDIT: The achievements did pop up eventually once I closed the game. I was about to request a refund, so I closed the game, and then all the achievements I should have gotten while playing popped up at once. [strike]However, NONE of the achievements are working for me. I found the fuse, put it in the fuse box outside, and nothing. I opened the greenhouse lock... nothing. I've completed a few other things for some other achievements and nothing I do triggers them to pop.[/strike] [strike]I'm not sure if anyone else has had this issue, but I love getting achievements! I will play a game multiple times just so I can get 100% of the achievements, so it's a little disappointing.[/strike]
