TL;DR - Great game, fun to play. Now that it is working as intending the ascention tree gives many options and makes the progress interesting and addicting. When I started playing the game, there was sadly a major bug in it, we were able to buy infinite upgrades on the forge boosting the mouse cursor damage into the millions, which let every player finish the game in less than 2 hours. Reported that bug in the forum and within less 2 hours, the Developer fixed that issue and even included a improvement that I suggested, into the game. Now, with the major bug gone, the game can be played and enjoyed how it was intended. Before you wouldn't need to ascent to beat the game, due to the infinite damage bug, now you need to ascent often to being able to progess into the higher areas. Its now fun and addicting, before, with the bug, it became stale ultra fast. Developer reacts super fast in the forum and even manages to fix things extremely fast, thumbs up for that!

Nice little game

Cursor Slayer is a simple idle/clicker game built around an unusual concept: instead of clicking enemies, you damage them by hovering your cursor over them while unlocking upgrades, weapons and abilities over time. While I can see the appeal for fans of incremental games, the gameplay loop never really clicked with me. The combat felt extremely simple and repetitive, and I found myself questioning where the idle aspect was supposed to take over. The game still demands enough interaction that I did not want to leave it running in the background, but it also lacked the depth to keep me actively engaged for long periods. That said, this is probably more a matter of expectations than game quality. I rarely play idle or clicker games, so players who enjoy gradual progression, unlocking upgrades and watching numbers go up may get far more enjoyment out of it than I did. If you are specifically looking for a lightweight incremental game with a unique cursor-based twist, Cursor Slayer might be worth a look. Really fun game which you can semi-idle while doing other things. On top of that, the developer is incredibly active and quick to fix bugs.

...it BECOMES good. Eventually. The game relies a little too much on the Prestige (Ascension, here) mechanic, and it is a slog until unlocking the "Battle Hardened" upgrade, which makes you restart 10 levels below your previous maximum. From here on, the game pretty much runs itself, especially if points are put into Auto. Just do the challenges on the right side of the screen, which give Ascension points and are always reasonable - I really like this actually, a way to earn the points during regular gameplay, and plenty of them. Overall, I enjoyed my time with this, so: Start clicking, people!
