About CyberTD

Think you have what it takes to save cyberspace? Mutant viruses have invaded its core and are threatening to destroy it. It’s up to you to take on these waves of viruses and defend the core of cyberspace in a way that prevents any of them from reaching it. But there’s no need to fret – you'll have countless upgrades and a split-personality killer drone to (more or less) help you out!

Innovative tower defense experience

CyberTD takes the classic tower defense experience and combines it with roguelite elements, creating a captivating mix. With each level-up, you'll unlock new upgrades and gain access to more options for customizing your defense according to your own unique style.

Easy to learn, tough to master

Though learning the game's simple mechanics is easy, you'll need to come up with an elaborate strategy if you're looking to reach high-score territory. You'll be entertained for plenty of time in your hunt for better upgrades and tactics – and you’ll get some questionable support from a retired killer drone with two feisty personalities.

Various game modes

You'll always find yourself facing new challenges through these different game modes:
 • Single Player: Viruses charge at you, wave after wave, with mutations that boost their strength and endurance – but you, too, have access to a growing range of effective defense mechanisms designed to stop them.
 • Co-op: Face the waves of enemies as a pair and work together to fight them off for as long as possible.
 • Versus: Face the waves of enemies side-by-side and compete to see who's more successful at fighting them off.
 • Weekly Challenges: A different set of special challenges each week for experienced players – tougher rules come into play here!
 • Community Clash: Fun and exciting games for streamers (Twitch) where your chat takes control of a second player in co-op or versus mode, or determines how the rest of the game unfolds for you through choices!

Endless possibilities

You have the power to choose what you need to defend against the enemy effectively. Looking to inflict heavy damage or trigger nasty status changes? Eager to level up your weapons or gain powerful abilities? Over 170 different upgrades await you in four different levels of rarity, ready to be unlocked and built to a powerful deck. You can choose one upgrade per enemy wave from a random selection in this pool – so no two games will ever be the same!

Don't believe the good reviews. Note that most of them have only reviewed this game. This games stinks. It's not fun and barely qualifies as a tower defense. Huge let down. Pros: Graphics aren't bad Cons: Single tower with no placement ability No strategy. Just pick a card and go. Terrible menu and options. Terrible voice acting and the script is just annoying, not helpful. There's no point. Either you win or you lose and there really isn't much you can do about it. Mostly, you're at the mercy of what random path is selected. Get a long one that's in your gun's range, you win. Get one where you have almost no time, you lose. Path isn't shown before you select your cards either. Overall, I actively dislike this game and wish I hadn't wasted my time purchasing it as part of a bundle. I won't be wasting any more time playing it.

The demo is great, but the full version is a disappointment. Couple of frustrating brickwalls are placed, purely because devs had no better ideas how to spice later levels. And you won't find any ingame info what the weaknesses of these brickwalls are. I had to ask in Discord, Seems the team gave up the game shortly after the release and focused on new titles. For a long time your only true option is to stick with the first weapon you get, because other weapons are unlocked late and their strong upgrades even later. And yet the first weapon is by far the strongest one. Annoying, unskippable, non-sense story on each new game.

The controversy in review is really understandable. This game is not that "bad" nor worst but can be seen as highly repetitive "without appropriate QoL adjustment feature. I can see this game getting more positive review if some feature and mechanic can be adjusted/updated.
TL;DR
Highly repetitive level grinding with very bad gameplay speed option at this moment. Too much time spend in level grinding, need very much much better speed option. Cool cyber TDS theme and idea. Way too slow game speed option - There are speed option during gameplay (pause, normal, faster) and faster is way way way way way too slow. This highly inadequate speed option make game boredom significantly increased especially at higher level grinding (near lvl45) as player have to play same stage up to stage 100. My suggestion is having nearly x10 speed option unlocked for higher level players (even x15 if possible) as players tend to know how to play this game now. So time during each lvl grinding should be shorten to compensate stage wave they need to go though (pass wave 100) for just +1 player level. Not much Late game damage types to choose - I like how this game have a lot of …

I went into this game knowing there would only be ONE TOWER to manage. The biggest problem is there is no customization in the single tower in the beginning to make you feel like you are making a difference during each wave. If there is only one tower which is not typical for tower defense games, I expected customization. The game looked cool in the trailers but a single tower for this genre doesn't work for tower defense games...

I'm not a TD guy but this game is addicting.
