About Cartridge Defense

Cartridge Defense is a tower defense game with collectible cards that you will use to create your own decks to defend against robots in the cyberpunk inspired future. Play cards (cartridges) to spawn towers, upgrades, special abilities and more.

Place towers to repath the enemy robots, set the priorities of towers with a highly customizable set of targeting systems, and watch waves of enemies get destroyed by your maze of towers. Each enemy has a chance of dropping loot in the form of cards, packs, targeting systems, items or resources you can use to customize your deck.

There are currently 9 tower types, each of which can be upgraded to level 5 and over 300 distinct cards, ensuring massive amounts of variety and replayability. Unlock cards, targeting systems and playable items by progressing through the story against specific spawn lists or farming completed levels with randomly generated spawns in 'Sponsored Mode' for bonus loot.

There are currently 33 levels across 5 zones for an expected 30-40 hours of gameplay. Additionally, the game includes an endless mode and a rogue-like mode for even more replayability!

One of the best tower defense games I have played. I'm normally not a big fan of deck building but it works well here. It gives a lot of strategic choices. Good selection of game modes too. I'm looking forward to tackling the roguelike mode after finishing the campaign. The visuals and UI are weaker points but these can be forgiven in a game like this.

I liked it. It has been a while, but i remember it working and being fun. Only stopped because I finished the endgame content, just checking in to see if it had any updates since then.

+Tower Defense +Deck Construction +Campaign and rogue like mode +Over 500 cards (with some unique) -Not great for repeated plays -Rogue like mode isn't very hard This is a really unique take on tower defense and deck construction. This is listed as deck building, but it's really deck construction. Deck building is more adding cards to your deck as you play the game, while Cartridge Defense you make a deck before you start a map. Between maps you can modify your deck with new cards you've unlocked before you start the next map (think along the lines of how Hearthstone works). Overall I had quite a bit of fun playing this, and enjoyed the deck construction aspect of it. Each map is different and sometimes your deck needs to change to be able to beat the challenge. There is a good selection of cards (over 50) with some legendary and rare ones that really are quite unique. The campaign was really 20-30 hours long for me, at which point I unlocked all of the cards and beat all of the maps. After that you can try the roguelike mode, which was fun for a play but wasn't really challenging enough to keep me going back for more. My only con is the game doesn't really have the legs for…

Addictive. I'd say the perfect tower defense game honestly. You molding the board with the turrets themselves is what I've always wanted out of a TD game. Won't ever need to buy another TD game imo.
