What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players report that this remaster is plagued with technical issues including stuck dialogue boxes that obstruct gameplay and prevent exiting conversations, plus visibility problems where high walls block the view of important game elements. Multiple reviewers describe it as a broken, abandoned port that feels unfinished, with some claiming certain areas are impossible to complete, and they consistently recommend playing the original DOS version instead.
This game is a broken mess. Dialogues will get stuck sometimes making it impossible for you to exit conversations. The dialogue windows will obscure your view while playing as they won't close. The devs also seems to have abandoned this one so I would recommend staying far away from it.5 found this helpful
The graphics are higher resolution than the original but the walls are far too high to see all the electrified floor plates, which makes it frustrating to play. At least one room looks like it has a bug that makes it impossible to complete? I'd recommend playing the original version of the game instead.3 found this helpful
The only reason I bought this is because I speedrun the original, which makes it even funnier that I have yet to get the Speedrun achievement in this. Some versions of the game on some consoles is AFAIK unbeatable. What a absolute mess.2 found this helpful
This is honestly the worst port of a beloved classic I've ever played. Just find a copy of the original and play it via Dosbox.2 found this helpful
Should have been left in the past.1 found this helpful
I own the original version of the game from back in the DOS days, and while I was looking forward to a remaster, I can't give this a pass. It honestly feels like an alpha build. If it was still being worked on I might have hope for it, but since this seems to be abandoned, I've bought the Switch version of the original game.
