Got a bunch of meat and then got killed by a giant flower. Kids are probably going to starve but at least they won't get killed by a giant flower.1 found this helpful
Daddy's Gone-A-Hunting is a retro 2D pixel brawler/platformer with a caveman theme. Run around throwing some kind of fish thing at dinosaurs and collecting meat. Graphics are low effort retro pixel, there's no UHD support. Controls are clunky and awkward. There's thousands of retro pixel platformers on Steam. This is not one of the better ones.1 found this helpful
I don't really want to give this game a bad review. It has it's flaws, but as they say you get what you pay for and for it's price... well it's functional. For one, I feel a lot of other reviewers didn't really give the game that much of a chance. The jump mechanic does feel weird but it works for the game and after a bit of practice feels natural for the game-play style. There is no tutorial, just a splash screen at start with the control layout. (Doesn't tell you that you can double jump). Game doesn't tell you anything really. A basic story told in images, but that's all. A lot of complaints had to do with the screen tearing and janky graphics and at first I thought it was part of the art style they were going for, but then I got to the underground cave stage. The caves look amazing compared to the first world of the game with no screen tearing or jankyness. So it would appear that first world is just optimized badly. Granted, the graphics don't actually hinder the game play and it is an 8bit retro game so *shrug* you're getting ♥♥♥♥♥♥ graphics already. It's not that big of a deal. Music is just more an ambient cord on loop. Again, for the first world this just makes the gam…
