About Dark Invasion VR: Doomsday

A captivating, creepy, and brutal VR horror first-person shooter with quests and weapons! Experience the onset of the Dark Invasion and get ready to survive the first episode of "Dark Invasion VR: Doomsday."

"Dark Invasion VR: Doomsday" is a horror VR shooter with a story-driven campaign and quests. Fight your way through a bunker infested with zombies, monsters, mutants, and aliens using melee weapons, handguns, shotguns, and rifles.

You play as John Beggart, a member of a reconstruction team working in an old bunker that survived World War II. John shivers as he enters the bunker, unaware that his world is about to collapse. He reminisces about playing hide and seek with Karen at this cursed place, 20 years ago—she got lost and was never found again.

No one was prepared for what happened next as the city was overrun by zombies, mutants, and aliens. As the apocalypse unfolds, our hero is in the old bunker. He must navigate his way through the underground basement and survive the full force of the violence from the undead army of the Dark Invasion!

Take control of the situation, fight as John in VR, and find a way out of this cursed place.

Episode 1: Bunker Doomsday is included in the current version. We plan to add more maps, quests, bosses, and story elements in the upcoming updates.
Episode 2: The City. We are planning and already working on a city overrun by zombies with various locations and quests.
Episode 3: The Alien Ship. We plan to add Episode 3 soon after completing Episode 2.

We plan to introduce boss fights and mid-boss fights to the game with later updates.

A violent and brutal VR first-person shooter with a creepy story, zombies, guns, and quests.

At a later date we plan to add a skill system and customizable weapons, as well as many other improvements.

This game is HOT ASS. The weapons break in about 4 zombie kills, the engine is very poorly optimized, the game-play works just enough, going through loading screens with weapons in hand despawn said weapon. After 10 mins I had to force myself to progress and now i realize I want my dollar back for this game.

Pros Doom 3 darkness and corridors vibe (could use more of it being dark as hell with only the headlamp to see) with the occasional F.E.A.R jump scare (could use more of it too.). Also needs more storytelling through corpses, blood trails and stuff laying around the bodies. Like the one zombie pierced to a wall with a samurai sword (they are way out of place in the setting, I'd replace them with a machete). The darkness and environmental story telling would cut back on people complaining areas looking too similar. Cons No pause menu I could find to quit the game or play with settings. I pressed every button unless its some weird combo of button presses or a hold button thing, its probably a Quest issue where what I consider the start/select buttons are already used by Steam and the other by the Quest itself. Maybe add a button diagram for the controls in the options menu if its not already there. No height setting for seated gameplay. Also the belt inventory sucks for seated gameplay, its very immersive if standing but a pain to use when seated, you will punch yourself in the nards trying to grab stuff quickly or break your sternum with your chin trying to look at the belt and …

wanted to like it, but its one of those where your hands and guns go through everything in the environment. didnt even make it past the tutorial.

so far i think the game is fun tho i think it needs a few tweaks, grenades seem to be the worst part of it with it randomly exploding for no reason so if u decide to carry one on your belt be aware accidental grabs are dangerous. other then that grabbing seems to be wonky with it suddenly letting go of items your holding at random. also i dont know if its the game design or me not finding the button i dont see a in game menu so i cant pause or adjust setting without having to get completely out of the game, but aside from theses few flaws i found i find it very interesting and the lore to be a bit intriguing

This game is the same thing from start to finish, corridors after corridors and nothing else at all, Voice acting is laughable, 0 scenario/story or at the very least the TINY we have is absolutely not developed one bit, it's guns only, melee breaks in 2-3 hits after a few stages no matter the weapon, there's grenades you can find but you cannot keep them on your belt and they eventually blow up on their own in your hand, crawling zombies literally fly on upper floors to reach you, painful green flash when you heal, 4 guns total in the whole game. Get it on discount if you want a cheap zombie VR game like I did, don't get it full price.
