About Days of Doom

The apocalypse wasn’t the end of the world. Just the one we knew. Enter the Days of Doom, a post-apocalyptic tactical RPG roguelite that challenges players to reach Sanctuary, a place of promise and respite in a world of colorful chaos. Starting with a small cast of survivors, you’ll chart a path to reach your ultimate destination, encountering threats, including zombies, raiders, and even zombie raiders! Along the way you will need to recruit a ragtag band of heroes to protect your growing community and fight your way forward.

Discovering how to best utilize each hero's unique abilities is the key to success in Days of Doom’s turn-based combat. Attack with Pyro early in the battle, as he ignites enemies for lasting damage. Then combine the Hydromancer and the Thrasher in a one-two knockout punch. Hydromancer can set the stage with a ranged water attack, and then the Thrasher can deliver a shocking surprise to wet enemies. The odds against you may seem insurmountable, but if you use your heroes' abilities strategically, upgrade them, and add new abilities along the way, you might just make it.

No two runs are ever the same, which keeps you at the top of your game, and makes Days of Doom inherently replayable.

Features

  • Beautifully animated hand-drawn art that brings the quirky vision of the post apocalypse to life
  • Eight character classes, each equipped with unique default and special abilities

  • Over 50 randomly occurring events that present risk-reward scenarios

  • Roguelite progression means no two runs will be the same, but you permanently upgrade stats like party size and speed of resource accumulation, which means each run will get you closer to reaching your goal
  • Original orchestral soundtrack by Jelle Dittmar

Not an awful game but overly repetitive and massively overpriced for its content.

This game is so unpolished, it should go back in developpement ! If you're here for difficulty go away and run ! I won my first run without losing anyone while doing multiple bad decisions and bad moves. (11 Achievement out of 20) I couldn't buy anything more than one more max team member at the end of it in term of permanent upgrade and i have clean most of each map... The game feel empty, unpolished and the fight are worthless... You start -> wait zombie to come to you -> use shield and CrowdControl while using the map to your advantage so less ennemy hit you -> you win with the celebratory "Victory" voiced by someone who is about to end is life. Rinse and repeat, it's so braindead because there is not any diversity in term of enemy or hazard impact, map too small but if it where bigger it will be even easier... Game fully unbalanced with broken items like one that heal you 50% of your total HP at the start of a fight if there is 5 or more ennemies which is green and easy to grab, character that can block every 3 turn for 3 attack and dissapear after 2 turn any attack coming to one mate, we get also a 50-75% heal at the end of each zone... Multiple bad game design, like the fact …

Certainly, there are hooks that might make you stick with the game, especially the one saying, that you just paid full „triple I“ price for a tactical toy, that feels like some small app for your ipad. It is not broken as such and may deliver numerous short sessions of passable entertainment, but it feels as early access, as they get. Recommended only to people that have low end PC's and massive craving for tactical roguelites, provided there's a sale and the game is 75% off.

I was looking forward to this one but as other reviewers mentioned it feels unfinished. I've refunded it and don't recommend it unless you don't mind waiting a long time for enemy turns to finish and don't mind poorly balanced gameplay. Definitely not worth the asking price even when it's on sale and it's too bad because it could have been something decent with just a bit more effort.
