Deathspank is still funny. It's funny that they made Thongs of Virtue another game because they didn't want the game to be too big so that it could be easily downloadable at xbox live arcade. Thongs of Virtue is like Act II and III of Deathspank the original game. This ends with a blatant and ridiculous cliffhanger. They should make a Deathspank: Definitive Edition combining the first and second games and making it free for owners of both games and then make a sequel with Ron Gilbert. He wasn't involved in The Baconing. I liked it all the same but some people say it's not a real sequel. Oh and it runs perfectly on Windows 11. A few years ago I had some problems. I don't remember exactly. Dunno if they patched it or anything but it can run at your default screen refresh rate now it seems but I limited it to 60 fps because it kept making the fans go fast every so often at 165hz.

(2026) DeathSpank (original version) Played on 4K 3840x2160 no issues. Resolution is via a slide bar in menu’s. Played on PC so the point and click moving was with the standard WSAD then left click for combat melee or ranged. Tab to switch weapons, number keys for potions etc. Bought this game on a whim. It was well worth it !!! Steam video at the store page looked pretty awesome. This game did not disapoint. Be the Hero save the Orphans and more. Hack and slash I guess but not the over the top stuff. Cartoonish look is colorful yet some areas are darker. Like the Haunted areas or Demon caves. Interaction with characters is funny and your replies are funnier. Choose what to say or ask and off you go. Story is pretty great also, a lot of great characters, missions and quests. One Orphan in particular was crazy funny. (heart warming). You’ll know when you get to her. There are tons of weapon’s, loot, heals, crit buffs etc. Game may seem repetitive at longer hours. Didn’t bother me I was having to much fun and laughing. Just sit back relax and have fun with it. Highly recommend !!! For achievement hunters you can get all of them in one playthrough.…

This game is honestly a gem. I really didn't expect too much from an ARPG with 2010 bacon humor but the game [i] hooked me.[/i] It has a certain charm about it that fills me with a sense nostalgia that only the [i] Xbox Arcade era [/i] of games could properly give me. Campy, with gameplay truly coming in first, but still stylish. I haven't stopped playing the last two days. I didn't have the chance to play it back when it came to Xbox Live Arcade in 2010, as I was but a young coinless lad, but the game has aged tremendously well considering how much time has passed. Even including a 4k resolution. A game that parodies games and really is a [b] Monkey Island [/b] writing meets [b] Diablo[/b]-like gameplay. I didn't think I'd care much for the goofy exposition but it lends itself well to just being a fun game to play and the story has been fun and interesting enough while subverting expectations here and there.
