Deflector

Deflector takes the bullet-heaven formula and adds a satisfying twist with its deflection mechanic. Bouncing projectiles back at enemies feels great and gives combat a more active, skill-based edge than most games in the genre. Runs are fast, upgrades are interesting, and mastering enemy patterns is genuinely rewarding. A solid roguelite for anyone who likes action-packed gameplay with a bit more involvement.

I really want to like this, but there is jsut to much stuff you have to keep track of when you play

Just can't really recommend this one. It is a clunky Hades clone and there isn't anything in terms of story or gameplay that does anything to draw me in. I will likely continue to play just to test some more stuff out but I can't really recommend it when there are better options in this genre already. Maybe it could be worth it on sale, tbh I don't even remember how this one made it into my library...

[h1] PARRY THIS YOU FILTHY CASUAL [/h1] I came into this game not expecting too much, but I was pleasantly surprised at the level of quality in this game's design and versatility. As far as roguelites go, this game checks off pretty much every box in regards to what you want to see in a game, with the sole exception of story. The plot itself is a cool concept, but there's no further elaboration or depth to it past the intro. Aside from that, it runs great, sounds great, looks great, and is definitely a fun time. Several different characters to choose from (eventually), and plenty of modifiers and upgrades to acquire along the way. Playing on the deck with this was a breeze. Lots of achievements for suckers like me. A well deserved 7/10
