Deiland: Pocket Planet Edition is a gentle and imaginative life-simulation adventure that centers on the simple but endearing idea of living on a world small enough to hold in your hands. Developed and published by Chibig, the game invites players into a relaxed, story-driven experience where farming, crafting, exploration, and light combat all unfold on a tiny spherical planet. Rather than overwhelming players with complex systems or dense mechanics, Deiland focuses on creating a calm, almost meditative rhythm that emphasizes routine, growth, and the quiet satisfaction of shaping a world through small, deliberate actions. The game places you in the role of Arco, a young boy tasked with caring for a mysterious pocket planet. From the beginning, the sense of scale is immediately striking: your entire world can be rotated at will, allowing you to view and interact with every corner of the terrain. This physical intimacy with the environment gives the game a distinctive feel, making each tree chopped, crop planted, or stone mined feel personal and tangible. Progress is steady rather than rushed, encouraging players to settle into a daily routine of tending crops, gathering materials,…

I need to give here a downvote, because of gamebreaking bug that I encountered that would stop my progress in like 1/3 of a game. I managed to fix that, but oh boy... I was sitting and researching all threads about this. Ankora planet wasn't showing properly to me (I was flying above it) probably because I do have Windows 11 Pro. I tried all the stuff recommended on the forums, various forums with different combinations - compatibility to Windows 8, changing language to Spanish, changing resolution, windowed mode and lastly just simple opening the game as administrator worked without previous stuff as compability to Windows 8 plus administrator did not fix it. Funny stuff. I also enountered many bugs, for example I was respawning in front of mines, in black hole there. I was furious for some time, but when I managed to fix it I enjoyed what game had to offer. Shame - I remember similar things were happening (but not so big) when I played Summer in Mara, also from Chibig. Devs, when realising next games... please fix those kind of stuff or at least post the manual bypass solution.

This game is buggy. Issues including: clipping through environment after rotating planet, maps not loading properly. Otherwise would be a nice grindy before bed brain shutdown game. Unfortunate.

I've really enjoyed the ChiBig catalog, and this -- their first game -- is no exception. The Steam reviews were complaining about bugs, but I 100%ed it and encountered no issues. Deiland is a small farm sim in which you play as a young boy, Arco, alone on a small planet. You interact with the people who visit your planet -- for trade, mostly, but also for other reasons -- and learn both who you are and what your purpose in the universe is. The gameplay is simple but smooth and satisfying, and the music is lovely. It also includes combat and even a boss fight or two. There are a couple of sequences where you leave the planet, which surprised me -- it would have been easy to have the plots not require you to leave the planet or let someone else do the dirty work, but they seemed to have realized it would be more satisfying for the player to go do things themselves, and I appreciate the extra effort that went into making these single-use environments; it was a nice surprise.  As in most of ChiBig's games, the solid character writing carries the simplistic gameplay, making it satisfying to complete quests so you can see the next stage of the plots. I also appreciate how evident it is…
