About DETECTIVE - The Motel

Grab a pencil and paper to write down what you need because no one is going to help you.
You play the role of a detective who has been assigned a case. When you arrive at the crime scene, you find a hotel with several rooms. At that moment you will have to discover what has happened, but it will not be easy. The evidence is not visible, the residents have secrets and they do not want anyone to know them. You will also find some puzzles that will test your determination and your ability as a detective.

DETECTIVE - The Motel is a realistic deduction game where only your detective instinct will help you.
Inspect all the rooms, find evidence, understand the relationships between the residents, their motivations and you will be able to solve the case.

To solve the case, you will need to answer these questions:
- Names of the suspects.
- What room does each of them live in?
- Approximate time of the crime.
- Crime day.
- Who died?
- Who is the murderer?
You will have to be very attentive to your surroundings to find all the possible evidence, it will not be easy, but if you are a good detective you will find the truth that is hidden behind the walls of each of the rooms in "The Motel".

This game had so much potential and just fell flat. There were so many rooms and shelves and cabinets that were all empty and non-interactive. The language translation was off a bit so there were some confusing clues. I would have loved to see so much more interaction! Also, crouching ability, inventory, and a way to document things would be nice.26 found this helpful
The game is a great idea, but you may as well just play Scene Investigators. Problem is, it still has a lot of typos to be fixed, especially in Irene's room. The ending was super underwhelming. Bit of a waste of time and money15 found this helpful
Had fun playing this one. Mind you this is a time-boxed game, at the end you'll get a rank based on how quickly you solved the case. Few inputs: - Would be nice to be able to crouch and have a minimalist inventory system, just to show current items. - Nice idea with the lack of notes in-game, however it would be cool to have a way to write your own notes, like an in-game notepad. - I enjoyed the puzzles, they seem varied and don't follow an obvious pattern. - Story could be improved? A bit more background around the narrative. - Music is immersive and fits the theme very well. - UI for the settings is a bit confusing, not sure when something is selected or not (not a deal breaker but it could definitely be improved). - Game runs smooth and is not buggy. Good luck to future players and GREAT job for the developer of this game, you've made a detective game I really enjoyed playing!10 found this helpful

DETECTIVE – The Motel is a first-person investigative mystery developed by k148 Game Studio and published by JanduSoft that leans heavily into pure deduction rather than cinematic storytelling or guided gameplay. Set within the confined space of a modest roadside motel, the game casts you as a detective tasked with unraveling a crime that initially appears vague and fragmented. There are no dramatic cutscenes, no action-driven sequences, and no overt horror elements. Instead, the experience is built around careful observation, logical reasoning, and independent note-taking, challenging players to think like an investigator rather than simply follow quest markers. From the moment you arrive at the motel, the atmosphere communicates isolation and subtle tension. The setting is small in scale but dense with potential clues. Each room houses its own details—objects placed deliberately, signs of occupancy, inconsistencies in layout, and subtle environmental storytelling cues. The game expects players to examine every corner thoroughly. Unlike many modern detective games that highlight interactable objects or maintain comprehensive in-game journals, DETECTIVE – The Motel offers minimal …
