About DETECTIVE - Rainy night
Detective Rainy Night places you in the shoes of Iker Carmona, a police officer tasked with investigating strange disappearances in the area. After driving all day, Iker decides to spend the night at a motel called “Holiday.” The next morning, he hears an argument outside his room. Upon stepping out, he discovers there is no electricity, mobile phones and computers aren’t working, vehicles won’t start, and it has begun to rain heavily. Seven guests are staying at the motel alongside you, each with their own story. As the weather worsens and vehicles remain unusable, no one can leave the motel. Over five days divided into 12 narrative-driven levels, you will experience unexplained phenomena, disappearances, deaths, and cryptic symbols—all unfolding within the motel. As a police detective, your role will involve speaking to guests, interrogating them, and piecing together the truth behind these events. Detective Rainy Night is a guided narrative adventure with elements of deduction. Throughout the game, events will unfold that you’ll need to recall later to solve the case. Violent crimes, mature stories, and psychological terror await you in the Motel Holiday. Grab a pen and paper because cracking this case won’t be easy.

This game is an absolute mess!! the puzzles are nowhere near as good as the older games .. and they tried to abandon the core of the series! "investigating a crime, gathering evidence, and solving the case" They tried to force horror into it, and it backfired hard .. Don't waste your money on this one! The other games in the series are definitely worth checking out though ..3 found this helpful
I think this game has a lot of promise but in its current form it is not worth the price of admission. The good - there is an atmosphere that can be oppressive and teeters on frightening especially when it's time to lure the enemy. The bad - Everything else. The images and gameplay/synopsis remind me of a good but misleading trailer for a bad movie. This is more walking novel than game and with a disjointed story that rambles into talk on gender and masculinity and race, it's not a very good one. It takes the interesting premise of being stuck in a motel with strangers while murder occurs and then gives you random tasks that amount to nothing, like delivering canned food. There is zero investigative work, it can be buggy to all hell (cursor appearing and then not going away) and although it asks for you to have a pencil and paper ready for notetaking, IT'S NOT NEEDED, there are no clues and it just gives you the answers at the end of the story. Nothing here feels thought or fleshed out, just an assortment of ideas mixed with a superficial story/game. If you're still unsure, feel free to check out my playthrough below OR check out the game when it's on sale. *Also is it just …
If you like story focused games and you're okay with them being a little delusional, you could check this out. I have some questions about the puzzles, the logic of the events that happen in this game, but this is not bad for an indie horror game, I believe. I was extremely annoyed with the mouse pointer bug where it stays each time you open the notebook. Needs to be fixed.
"The monster uses a cloth that covers the entire body except the face" next note "He doesn't seem to have a body, levitate." Dev, can you make something up already? How is this a detective game if the main character is so dumb that he first says it has a body, it's just covered, and then that it doesn't? Come on man
awful
Very short, but good. Definitely buy it on sale. 10.79 euros is just too much. Thumbs up from me, since I really enjoyed it.
