Dice & Dungeons

There are no decisions to make in combat which is 99% of the game. I didn't check the reviews due to 'mostly positive' score but that was a mistake. In combat you roll your dice. Then you HAVE to reroll ALL dice. Then you do the actions that were on the dice. And that's it - there are no decisions to make, no choices, no strategy. A single battle with first enemy took me about 25 minutes due to high enemy blocks and healing and low damage on my part (warrior). It seems the only choices in the game in total are to: add an item (dice) to your pool and optionally remove a dice from the pool. It's like an auto-battler but it's not auto - you have to do the clicking...

Played on Steam Deck. There is a completely functional game here on a technical level, but nothing about the experience is good. Lacking in just about every area. Just look at it... =/ One Deck Dungeon is what this game was trying to be.

The game is pretty confusing to learn.

It's fun, but can be extremely boring.

I had to ask for a refund. The premise of composing your dice pool looking to exploit a specific strategy or synergies is good. The problem comes in the execution, where you become a mere spectator, which might not be bad if the combats were fast, but nevertheless the current mechanics lead to eternal combats, where you inevitably end up getting bored. And also the game asks you to click in some cases, where you have no decision to make.

When every time I run up against a monster with sneak, I am made to ragequit due to the inanity of the design... it's a nice idea, but between its very rough graphics, poor documentation, and terrible-but-too-common situations, I can't recommend.
