Dicey Words

Wanted to play a game while I listened to something in the background, thought this game looked interesting and so I bought it. I ended up playing for 3 hours straight and loving every bit of it. I'm loving these types of games and this one might be my favorite so far. I rarely leave reviews but this was so enjoyable and for a great cost that I had to. Look forward to seeing what else is in store for this game and future games!

Could be a fun game... roguelike take on word maker. Only thing is it doesn't scale correctly. Can't make it past level 10 or so, seems like I'm doing fine and the game just ends. This being on the very first level of difficulty doesn't bode well. It makes me wonder if anybody on the dev team has actually played the game.

Dicey Words is the wordy roguelike: a clever dice-based word builder where you roll letters, reroll like Yahtzee, and craft five-letter words for big points. Powerful badges twist the rules, boost your score, and turn each run into a strategic puzzle. Even with my small amount of game time i can say that the game is quick, simple, and fun, with a clean flow. The background animations, overall feel, and sounds are good, but they could use a bit more impact and satisfaction. The word pieces already feel nice to move around, especially when right-clicking sends them smoothly down into the roll box. My only complaint is the controls. Choosing the words I want to use requires a double click, even though that is what I’ll be doing 90% of the time. It should also work with a single click, with the same smooth motion as moving pieces to the roll box. Both left and right click should feel quick, simple, and consistent. FIX THE LEFT CLICK!

💖✨Open Slather my beloved <33✨💖 Real talk - found this game very randomly. Was watching a Memoria YT video where she played Steam games posted specifically on Aug 4th. She never even played this one, but I was immediately intrigued by the name & picture of the game alone. I'm a huge puzzle fan, but I can't play "grindy" games. So this word-making rogue-like is quite literally perfect for me! Also the first one I actually liked playing xD I've also always had trouble with unscrambling words from letters in particular (possibly because English isn't my 1st language), but this game is legit helping me improve at that! Lol Lots of resemblance to Balatro, but while the inspiration is clear, the game has its own identity and quirks, making it a solely unique experience. Thanks for an awesome game, dev!

Addictive gameplay, catchy music, fun boss battles. If balatro and wordle had a baby you'd get this gem.
