Very flawed game with a lacklustre and low effort copy paste career, but has incredible presentation and atmosphere, it looks stunning most of the time. Physics are awful, but the base driving model is good enough to keep me playing and see through all of the content and the DLC's which introduce some much needed new tracks. This is a game that's only worth getting on a sale, it's the weakest Codemasters game of all.

I went into DiRT 5 expecting something closer to the older DiRT games, but this feels like a completely different series. The driving is very arcade-focused, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it's not what I was hoping for. The Career Mode is pretty forgettable and I lost interest before finishing it. Some race events also feel way too linear, making them repetitive after a while. Another thing I didn't like is how many cars are locked behind DLC. The base roster already feels small, so seeing so much content sold separately is disappointing. The tracks are decent, though. Different terrain types keep the racing interesting, and that's probably one of the game's strongest points. Overall, it's not a terrible game. It's just not the DiRT game I was expecting. If you're looking for an arcade racer, you'll probably have fun. If you're a fan of the older DiRT titles, you might be disappointed.

Nice Game.

November 5 2020, the day DiRT died. The game is absoluetly awful, even worse than some mobile games. The physics are lightly glued wooden blocks driving around. While on the otherhand the graphics are so good, even on a card that doesn't have ray tracing support. (They must've spent all skill points on graphics not physics) Even a small bump sometimes can you send to the atmosphere. Also the props on the track are glued to the track. And if you try to drive over them. No even with your 2 ton pickup truck you cant move the smallest object. Next up: Story and events. The game doesn't have a story. David vs Goliath I guess, just different names. The events order you choose is your own choice. Won't matter much to be honest. Throwdowns are so useless that no point even doing them. You don't even see what you have completed. Atleast DLC events bring a tiny bit of flavour but not enough. Finally cars, driving and tuning. The cars list isn't huge but it has some good ones. RS200, Porsche 959 and so on. And 2 cars you cant get from buying the Year 1 edition. Both of them are preorder exclusive or pay more. Driving with AI is very confusing, AI doesn't see you where you drive or notice …

i got this game basically for free and so far this is one of the worst games of all time introduction of the dirt rally franchise is partially what ruined dirt, conditioning everyone to believe that rally racing and arcade fun cannot coexist (despite having done so in the past with dirt 2 and 3) decent attempt at an artstyle but its unfortuntely unicorn vomit, nothing beats dirt 2's
