Disputed Space

This is pretty awesome if you don't own any other competent space 6DOF dogfighter-style games. Sadly to the same degree it's also easily skipped if you do. Disputed Space doesn't really bring anything new to the table aside from being able to simulate massive space battles involving hundreds of fighters and capital ships with very minimal lag on older PCs. Friendly fire is most definitely a thing so not only must you manage strafing runs you must also be aware of where the heavies are currently engaging on the battlefield so you don't fly into their crossfire. You're assigned targets but are always free to attack any enemies at will. Expect 4+ hours to campaign completion.

The visuals are mid, the controls are wonky, there's no progression, and the game hasn't updated since 2017. Notice how all the good reviews are from there. This game would be mid if it was free. Don't buy it.

The game could be good, but its a no for me. The lack of polish makes it feel very amateurish (although the graphics are pretty great). It feels like it was released in EA before finishing it properly.
