About Divine Dawn
Divine Dawn allows you to step into the role of a young man with dreams of heroism, customizing your character with a huge variety of abilities, traits, weapons, and elements. While your character has goals and a personality of his own, you can shape how they handle situations; allies will remember and reference many of your choices, and some can significantly affect your character's development. It's up to you to decide exactly what being a hero actually means, and what kind of impact you leave on the world.
Weapons and elements have unique movesets, lending themselves to different styles of play. Hydromancy offers healing, support, and good damage with high-pressure water, while its sister school Cryomancy freezes and bleeds foes. Shortbows excel at quick attacks, inflicting a wide variety of debuffs and statuses, while Greataxes use your own vitality to fuel berserker rampages dealing ruinous damage.
Each party member has their own problems and aspirations, strengths and weaknesses. They're people, sharing some of the same struggles as your character. Some have it together better than others, but most could use a shoulder to lean on and someone to talk to. Relationships can bloom in unexpected circumstances, and friends-with-benefits can become something more. Earning their trust and blossoming affection will reveal new aspects to characters you thought you understood, and potentially benefit them in combat as well as they master new abilities.
Allies can also teach you new martial arts or types of magic, including otherworldly Aether and Nether magic. The Nether is a realm of emotion and feeling, an avenue to improve empathy, while the Aether is a stark understanding of fundamental concepts and raw willpower.

Divine Dawn receives strong praise for its well-written characters, engaging story, and thoughtful world-building that rises above typical harem game standards, complemented by solid RPG mechanics and character building options. Players appreciate the balance between narrative depth and adult content, though some note that the writing can be dense with lengthy dialogue sections that occasionally feel padded, and the limited NSFW art compared to other adult games is seen as a minor drawback. Overall, it's recommended as a substantial early access title worth playing even for those primarily int
Do I recommend "Divine Dawn" - emphatically Yes! Some caveats: *You play as male, I've only seen women companions so far *It's not all sex all the time, and I don't think it should be -In fact I wouldn't be surprised if you could enjoy it without the sex scenes (I welcome more of them out of the roughly dozen I've unlocked so far) *It takes Trust and Affection (work) to get to most of the sex scenes (kind of like real life) * It's not your normal visual novel -it's more like a novel with Cg's splashed in, and allows you to delve deeper into the relationships that interest you the most. *It has RPG elements: levels, stats, points to spend, builds to create, (mostly pertaining to battle that I've seen) *The humor and the word choices are perfect for me as a native English speaker, but it would be very challenging for someone who is not. *There might still be a few bugs (Ripper skill and healing I'm looking at you) -I don't care I'm having too much fun. *There are a lot of women to romance I only have 6 so far I know there are more (only an issue due to quantity of knowledge I want to absorb) *I'm nowhere near done my 1st play through 2/9 current achievements and 15 hours of pla…2 found this helpful
actual Peak.

character creation\building is intricate and complicated enough to be very interesting but not enough to overwhelm
(unless you pick berserk lmao)

writing, world building and characters are written at a level opposite of a typical harem anime. people have flaws, ask interesting questions and clearly made with love.
background art is really good, character art is is cute and pleasant, the only kinda bad part is that there's little to no adult content in an adult game?? but i guess more art will arrive with updates.
the amount of content is shocking, at my 28hr mark i did basically nothing
(for reference i just completed like 1st or 2nd semi-global task that i got like at a 15-30min mark)
but i would drop if that bothered me or if i would've been the least bit bored, and as you can guess that is not the case.

the only parts i think need some love:
sex scenes, a list of status effects(like bleed enrage etc, had to test them in battle to see what they do), competative sex was rough to comprehend, and it's sad to see that some weapons get more love than others. overal game's 9\10 imo, feels li…2 found this helpful
Good game. Story is enjoyable, combat is fun, making builds is fun, the girls are fun, cute and hot. Definitely a good game, even if ignoring the hot nsfw stuff. Also the dev makes great Starcraft 2 mods, thanks for Swarm Reborn.
A game where the story is well written and the characters are all amazingly fleshed out. Sarah is best girl, will fight for her happiness.
What is currently available is good. The combat is basic turn based battles with a partner of your choosing. The skills and passive trees of the "classes" and weapon types are nice. Generally speaking the art is good, with a few characters/scenes that could use some touching up. The world the dev has made is interesting, as are the party members that you can have interesting conversations with after building trust or affection. At this price point it is worth it, even in Early Access. However. The dev needs an editor. Often times the affection/trust conversations you can have with your party members in camp drag on and on and hit you like a wall of text. While I enjoy the conversations and the lore and world building you can learn from these, they almost read like a student trying to inflate the essay word count. Some of the writing can be very cringe, some of it is humorous, some of it is well thought out. The quality of writing changes too often. Writing is everything in a game like this and I really urge the dev to get an editor that won't pull their punches to reign them in. What is here is good, but it could be better. Also the time between updates is very inconsistent and o…
There are genuinely interesting discussions about religion, philosophy and interpersonal relationships. Character writing is much stronger than I expected from this sort of game.
