Very nice game. The RNG can feel pretty unforgiving at times, but if you get some nice cards it feels pretty balanced. Maybe I didn't play very well, but it felt like I had to heal after almost every battle, so the better cards sometimes feel like too high of a risk. I really liked the atmosphere of the game though. The voice acting is great and the lovecraftian horror was pretty well done. Also the changes to your senses as you lose more and more of yourself is really creative.

Very intriguing game! It's a short little indie game, but it keeps you curious until you're able to see the whole story (not long after you beat the card game), and the card game itself gets more involved the longer you play. The theme is interesting and the horror elements are well done - not jump scare, but a healthy dose of creepy and body horror. The card game is very challenging until you've given it a lot of tries (not terribly unlike Balatro - but very little math involved). There are several different methods/tactics you can try in order to beat each level, but I only found one that (nearly) consistently beat out the RNG. Because realistically, the RNG is quite brutal and punishing on this game, especially if you're a completionist (like me). However, hopping in and out of a new game is easy enough that the punishing RNG doesn't feel entirely devastating (not after the first half dozen runs anyway). Ultimately, I've found it's the random selection of special cards that really shine, and each of them have a slightly different tactic in how they can help you try to progress (though for a few of them, I haven't found them especially helpful yet). Has the basis for a great game, but in it's current state feels very luck based in the beginning, with it almost feeling rigged at times. The gameplay loop is pretty interesting, and I love the idea of losses being punishing. The villain is a very interesting character, but I feel the cutscenes in between losses and new runs are a bit too long.

I'm not usually into card games, but this one is awesome! The 3D cutscenes are cool, and you even get to walk around in first-person sometimes (yeah that scene...). The bosses look and sound amazing. At first, I thought winning was just luck, but it gets easier once you figure it out. The story is super dark, which I didn't expect at all. There's still a lot I don't get, but the game design is genius. Ever heard of character development? Here, you get to experience the opposite, in good way.
