It has some pretty simple mechanics where you try to escape an oncoming danger which is usually a huge wave of water. There are a large number of levels that you can get increased score by saving children or just completing the level. Coins and secret paths are hidden throughout the different stages to collect although I never found a use for the coins other than a score of sorts. The shining factor to this game is the art style. All the art was done in MS paint giving it a very distinctive and unique style. The story is written well enough and has some nice twists at the end. There is a nice variety of stages and obstacles that you will enounter [h1]The Minor Gripes[/h1] My first real issue was with some control mechanics sometimes and menu selection things. It seemed confused in some areas what I was pressing and at one point the game stopped recognizing movements on my keyboard and wanted me to use a controller instead. A quirky game with charming visuals. My major gripe with the game is that it doesn't support a controller, which would make the game more enjoyable in my opinion. I am just not used to arrow keys for movement like most boomers. I will definitely keep the game, but not play right now. I'll save it for a rainy day when I have nothing else to do. For once the Steam algorithm recommended something interesting, usually I just get spammed with anime/hentai trash in my recommended.
