About Dominium Mundi
Dominium Mundi is a lightweight 4X strategy game set in the medieval period where 4 players compete to create the most influential empire. Expand your empire over the map, convert more people to your religion, and control more trade routes. But think ahead because you can only do one action per turn. Play singleplayer with ai or multiplayer with friends.
Discover unexplored regions on the map.
Defeat enemy army and conquer their regions.
Expand your empire size and number of followers of your religion.
Get access to more resources and gain bonuses when you collect enough of them.
Multiple victories condition - There are 4 paths to victory: Military, Economy, Religion, and Score
Only one action per turn - Players can only focus on one action per turn: Explore the new region, Conquest opponent`s region, Send priests to convert people to your religion, and send merchants to increase your trade power on a trade route
Single-player and Multi-player modes - The game is always played with 4 players. In Single-player 3 players are ai bots. Solo games take about 20 minutes to finish and Multi-player games depend on how many people play it but they should take about 1 hour to finish.
Combat system - In this system, units are organized in 2x3 formations where the position of each unit matters because of the various row and column bonuses and debuffs they can have.
Religion system - Each player starts with his religion. Spreading your religion gives you victory points and various bonuses for other systems in the game.
Economy system - Players battle for control of trade routes to get bonuses for connecting regions with the same resources.
Interconnected systems - Every system is connected with other systems in various ways. For example, it is easier to conquer a region if you control a trade route to it or you can convert more people in the region which is under your control.

I beat the game 1st try within 25 minutes and since it only has one difficulty-level there's no incentive to play it again. I wouldn't say it's a bad game but even at 50% off, it simply isn't worth the money for the content.8 found this helpful

Feels like the shell of game, that was put up for a cash grab, but never actually finished. No rules are really explained, and I had no clue what I was doing, yet I still managed to win the first game I played pretty much simply by exploring and laying out trade routes, until I had them all. The AI never even tried to take a trade route away from me, so it really felt silly, especially as the green player had a bunch of cities, and huge armies, while I had one city, and not much in the way of an army by that point. Green even had more points than me, so how I won baffles me. The controls are wonky too, it was far from rare where I had to take the same action two, three or even four times before it took, all in the same turn. As you are only supposed to have one more per turn, i can only assume this was some sort of glitch. I would have to put this in the avoid at all cost category. I got it on a huge sale, and even at that, it was over priced.3 found this helpful
Save your money. I like simple strategy games at times when I want to take a break from too much intense thinking, but this is overly basic. You get bored of it after playing once or twice; it looks far more interesting than it truly is. Perhaps prices at $0.99 it may be worth considering - do not spend more than that on it.3 found this helpful
I bought it on sale for a significant discount and regretted the purchase immediately upon playing it. I should have read the comments here more closely. The game is overly simplistic. So much so that it takes all the fun out of the game.2 found this helpful
I only played the game for 5 minutes, but I left the game running for 3 hours as I was doing christmassy stuff with my cats. So in short, I know very little of this game so far. The UI and map are excellent, I'm excited to go back and look at it more. I only took over one single city and explored over half of the map thus far, but it feels good to play. If you consider yourself a fan of something, you deserve to something something good review.1 found this helpful
