Don't Feed The Cat

I'll start with a positive because I am feeling charitable: The developer did actually replace the pizza from the demo with some nondescript lumps in a bowl, meaning he listened to the feedback I gave in the forum thread. Said lumps kind of look like garlic which is even worse for cats than pizza, but you have to take what you can get when you're playing a game like this - and let me tell you, you ain't getting much. It's rare that I come across a truly awful game, because it actually takes a lot for me to consider a game awful. There's [i]bad[/i] games, games I don't recommend, games I just don't like, but in most of them I can see some kind of vision, a spark. Maybe the game sucks, but I can see what they were doing with it. I can appreciate the effort, because making a game is hard and for one guy, takes competencies in so many fields of art, design, programming, and more in order to pull off. Even if I dislike something heavily, I can usually find some kind of value in it. With that in mind, [i]Don't Feed the Cat[/i] is a truly awful game. I played the demo months ago, and they didn't fix any of the issues from then in the full version. I'm also convinced the demo WAS the full version, cause I honestly didn't even notice a difference between the two. It has pointless objectives that don't matter if you complete them or not, it's unbelievably buggy and items don't even spawn in for you to complete said objectives, and NOT feeding the cat still makes the game end with it saying "WHY DID YOU FEED THE CAT IDIOT?" (paraphrased lol) It also only lasts like 15 minutes. Charging $5 for this slop is actually insane.

Game runs very good on Steam Deck but is extremely buggy. On night 2 I had to water the flowers got 2 done the 3rd flower was outside but couldn't water due to a game bug blocking me from reaching it. Then another night told me to collect the pills laying around the apartment in which no pills spawned. The following night I had to take the pills that spawned to remain alive but no pills spawned the previous night so I couldn't take them. My assumption is watering the 3rd plant bug caused all of this to unfold which in turn makes the game unplayable. Unfortunately if it's fixed the game would actually be fun.
